One Fertility

Horrible clinic, terrible experience. My husband and I did IVF here in 2019 and 2020. Both times were not successful. The staff is extremely rude. The one Ivf coordinator, said “you can’t tell the DNA of an embryo just by looking at it, it’s like looking at your mother, she’s beautiful on the outside but she could be full of cancer on the inside” she literally compared my embryo to cancer !!!! And after my last failed transfer, there was ZERO follow up! NONE!! This is a horrible clinic.

They charge alot of money on each and every step. They ask you to have tests done from their own clinic and pay for that and charge you extra $30 for your own test results, as an admin fee. They change your doctor without informing you. Call you to come to clinic just for minor things for example signing papers, getting prescription, general blood test, ultra sound, which can be done from any lab. Start tests 2years before your actual treatment and tests are valid for 1year. I have to drive 1hour to go to one clinic for repeated tests for no good reason. Since there is no other Fertility Clinic close to my area that's why I don't have anyother option. They have Monopoly in the market, burn your money, assure you nothing. So disappointed.

Using a fertility clinic can be overwhelming, so the care of the staff is vital to the success of the patients. I have been a patient at One Fertility for 3 years and they are (without a doubt) the most caring, attentive, friendly, professional staff a person can have as they go through the process of adding to their family. With the utmost sincerity, I am beyond grateful for all that they have done for my family. Every staff matters... from reception, to nursing, ultrasound techs, students and doctors. Keep up the great work!

As a patient of One Fertility Burlington, we are really unhappy with the lack of early morning appointments. It appears that the volume of patients has increase dramatically in the last few months. Therefore we believe the clinic should change its operating hours to 6:30am not 7am.

Even booking almost a week in advance, the earliest appointment is generally 8am to 9am.

What do you do when you need to leave at 8am to get to work?

If you have multiple appointments during the work week, are you expected to be late each time?

Not everyone has the flexibility to arrive late to work; day after day, month after month. This causes additional stress to those going through an already very stressful situation.

In addition to this increased volume and double booking of patients, we are now minimally waiting 30 to 45 minutes for our morning monitoring to be completed.

Again, how do we arrive to work on time when our appointments are late and we have an additional wait time because it is exceptionally busy.

Since there is such an increase in business, perhaps One Fertility could consider changing its operating time to 6:30am and hire additional staff to meet the needs of the clinic.

We have been exceptionally satisfied with ONE. Originally we were sent to a clinic in Toronto, the atmosphere was awful so we switched.
From the moment we started dealing with ONE, we was so happy and relieved. On the phone they answered my questions, were very open to helping me find a date and time that worked for us. When you arrive, the girls at the desk are friendly, helpful and treat you with respect. The ladies that take your blood, well what can I say, the BEST; I have never had such friendly people poking me over and over. The ladies take their time and I never once ended up with a bruise from blood test, and for me that is amazing. They care, they really do. The technicians are professional, and treat you respectfully, they answer your questions and give you time if you aren't quite "ready" for them.
For the amount of people that go thru that facility, we NEVER once felt like a number. After one of my procedures, I passed out in the front waiting room. I was taken care of so wonderfully, they had a nurse dealing with me, watching me and checking up on me constantly. They called my husband and explained everything to us about why it had happened and what to do to prevent it next time. It was in no way their fault, however they looked after me and made sure that I didn't think that it was my fault either. These things happen. We weren't rushed out, we were told to take the time that we needed for me to feel up to leaving.
Unfortunately we were unsuccessful at becoming pregnant with ONE's help. However we have become pregnant on our own (total miracle) and when I called them, they had me come in right away, and looked after me until it was time to be handed off to an OB.
All I can say again is Professional, friendly and definitely the best there is!!

The team at One Fertility in Burlington is wonderful. I feel that the attitude you have goes a long way in this type of setting. Everyone walking in is there for a similar reason. We want a baby, and for some reason or another are unable to achieve that goal.
I am a realist. I know that there is a chance this wont work- what I love about ONE is that they support you and tell you the next steps. When step 1 didn't work...we move on to step 2 (no point in dwelling on step 1). I really appreciated this attitude.....but mostly because I have the same values. The goal is to help me achieve a healthy pregnancy.
They are the experts...I am not. If you trust them , whole heartedly, they will support you!
Dr. Faghih was my main doctor. I adore her- and if you know what is right for you....you should adore her too.
She is honest, helpful and straight to the point. She lets you make the final decision but I always turned it back to her and said....tell me what you want me to do , and I will do it!
Dr. Huges would be around sometimes when Dr. Faghih was not in....but whoever I met was helpful and made sense of what was going on.....
You will wait. They are busy...there is a lot to do, and many people to see.... they have free wifi, keep yourself busy and hang out. The wait was NEVER too long....but I was always surprised to hear people complain. END RESULT is baby.... if I had to wait 3 hours to see the doctor my butt wasn't moving.....

The girls will know you by name when you walk in. They become an extension of your family. They day you graduate...as they call it....will be the biggest accomplishment of your life and THEY are to thank.

I pray that I don't need to see them again.....but if I do , there is not one else I would rather have supporting me though it all.

Goodluck in your process- if you let them support you they will....
I am 3.5 months pregnant and loving every second of it. Hopefully we carry to term and I don't need to see them.... but they are the best team to have in your corner.

What can be said? The staff are amazing; always extremely helpful and supportive. I can't imagine a better support system to help with this long and sometimes very difficult journey.

Went to the clinic for fertility treatments. The people that work there are very friendly, sympathetic and accommodating.

I had a wonderful experience at One Fertility. I have struggled to get pregnant for 3 years and have been a patient now for over a year. Each time I go in, the staff are positive, patient and knowledgeable. I was handled by different doctors and different nurses but it seems everyone just works collectively to reach the ultimate goal. I never once felt like I wasn't in good hands. I have a 4 year old daughter who was also treated very well during my multiple appointments weekly. I have not yet reached my goal but I believe One Fertilityis doing everything they can to help me.

Unprofessional procedures at Fertility One in Burlington, i would not recommend this clinic to anyone who really wants to have a child and this is my experience, first thing was the first insertion of sperm was done by a second doctor not the doctor we started dealing with and it took over 45 minutes due to them not using an ultrasound to insert in proper location(after trying for 25 minutes they then moved me to where the ultrasound was),next there was egg retrieval process and i was so doped up that i was unaware of what was going on and didn’t get out of it for about 12 hours, they told me i was only going to be drowsy for half hour! The 2 fertilized eggs at the next stage was also not done by my original doctor and that also with that persons non experience with me caused him even with the ultrasound a half hour of trying to insert it .I voiced my concerns to the doctor and al she said was i can’t be there all the time and that was a terrible response after the pregnancy failure!

My husband and I had excellent experience at One Fertility and under the wonderful care of Dr. Hughes and his team I was blessed with a positive pregnancy. The clinic is very well organized and the doctors are knowledgeable and provide personal care and attention to each patient to ensure the best possible result. Dr. Hughes always answered my questions with patience and great detail reflecting his scientific knowledge as well as practical experience. I also felt that the nurses and support staff are very friendly and personable and always communicated results with the patient in an effective manner. We also attended the information session done by Dr. Karnis and Dr . Neil. Dr. Neil talked about the lab and the IVF procedures. That day, I truly believed that we are in good hands. I completely believe that the lab in any fertility clinic is the backbone that supports the doctor efforts towards successful results. He has a great experience and works with a well trained team. Fertility treatment combines both science and art and One Fertility knows how to perfect them. We totally recommend them, this is our third clinic and I am glad we found them. Job well done and many thanks to Dr. Hughes, Karnis and Faghi as well as the nurses and the ultrasound team. We will be back for our second baby.
