As per the Law Society of Upper Canada's website, Andrew Marek was disbarred in 2006 for misuse of client funds.

I've had Andrew Marek and his law firm close two of my properties.
Andrew is very thorough when he reviews your Purchase & Sale Agreement. It was very constructive to know where the Builder is trying to screw the purchaser, but during the housing boom, it didn't matter what Marek flagged or asked to be changed, the builder invariably sent back the counter-proposal with a "take it or leave it attitude".
Anyway, Andrew was always accessible and his staff are top notch. Unfortunately, he didn't close my latest property, because I was too lazy to go to his office in Mississauga.
For all you west-enders, I highly recommend him as a real estate lawyer.
