Urban Pet

I took my little poodle there yesterday and she looks adorable! I've had her for going on 3 yrs and have always done her haircuts myself, which is a bad ideas I know. But I had heard all these horrors stories out there about dogs dying or becoming sick or mistreated at groomers. I thought, hey she might be getting made fun of by the other doggys at the park but she's alive. But her mats were getting terrible, she whined when I would try to pull them out so I just had to swallow my fears and find a groomers. I'm so happy I found this on. The guy up front was so nice and empathetic. I told him I was really nervous and he really calmed me down. I even started tearing up when she was taken away. After 4 agonizing hrs I got to go pick her up and she looked beautiful !! I couldn't be happier, she was happy. We are definitely making this our groomers.

Another awesome part is the price. I seriously thought it would be 100$ or up once they saw my pup. And it was a little over half that! Everyone wins .

Hi , Ive been going to UP for over 4 yrs and these new guys are definatly my favorite . They actually seem to care about the dogs that are brought in .

I was also made aware by Frank the new owner that doing Anal Glands is a VET PRACTICE and became a grooming gimmic to suck extra cash out of pet owners .

Dont be fooled by their appearance , the tattooed guy at the counter is really sweet and VERY easy on the eyes ;)

The store looks better than ever and cant wait to see the new " urban " style these guys will bring to this business.

I usually don't take the time to review a bussiness but since I read the last review from an unsatisfied customer, I absolutely have to. I've been taking my dog for grooming to UP for the past 5 years and never ever had I a bad or unfriendly experience with the previous owner, nor the new one. The new owner has gone out of her way to make the boutique a high-end place for you and your pet and so she hired a professional dog show groomer to give us the best service in town and of course there was an increase on the prices. You pay for quality and experience and you see it in the finished work. The fact that the past review includes a recommendation for another grooming place makes you wonder if this review is honest at all or just another feud to steal clients away from them. Montreal-Ouest is a warm community that spreads the word about the good places around and UP is high up on the list for their efforts to keep our community happy. And about the empathy... it is known that several costumers at UP are older people that cannot afford to pay full price and the owners, previous and new one, have an understanding attitude towards people and dogs in need, so... judging by this hateful review, I'd say this person tried to get the best service for the lowest price and this reaction is plain pathetic. I hope this review is useful to UP. I'm a loyal client to a loyal business.

I'm a regular client at Urban Pet, I love the way they pamper my pet, they take adorable groomings and have affordable prices. Highly recommended.
