They are getting out of the roleplaying business and concentrating on military surplus. They are also going to be moving their location. I think this is supposed to happen in a couple of months, but don't quote me on that.

Location: central, cool little spot with great ambience. Very true to the atmosphere of Campaign Outfitters before it with the hardwood floors and medieval arms and armour. There is a very cosy circle of couches at the front and some gaming tables in the back.

Staff: extremely friendly and helpful. Very knowledgable too. The owner is an excellent miniature painter as well, and has given me tips on painting and modelling in the past.

Selection: quite good. There is a good sized boardgame collection, with a mix of Euros and American style. They have most of the popular games, if you want something more niche, I would call ahead. They also stock all the RPG standbys. Where this place really shines is miniatures. They carry a really good variety, but with a particular focus on Flames of War, Warmachine and Hordes. They also have a decent selection of historical 28mm plastics and Reaper minis. Huge selection of Vallejo paints as well. Of course, there's also military surplus in the back!

Prices: seem about average.

Community: I've never actually been to a gaming night here, but there often seem to be people playing. The owners also get involved. It seems like a fun place to hang out.

I was just there today and gamers were playing in the back as usual. I like this store because of it's layout and the broad selection of games. The couches in the front around a table by a fireplace are a nice touch too. It's in the exchange district so you know it has to be unique. I find their prices are competitive on boardgames, and if I ever get into Warhammer I know were to go as I have never seen more players of that game than there.

Nerd alert:

One of my friends coaxed me into going here by making it sound like a sports store. When I got in there, I discovered they sold all sorts of old games, like games you play by manipulating small objects with your hands, and by using your imagination and such. It was archaic. And there was a group of grown men moving little figurines around on a board and discussing spells or something.

I had to bodycheck a nerd just to be sure I could still feel like a man.

At least have the good sense to BE clever.
Your review was puerile, and tasteless. If the games at Imagine Games and Hobbies are too complicated for you, I'm sure there are plenty of places that have games that go "beep beep" for you.

You have to be very dumb to review a game store just because you hate nerds; this review is nothing more than a clueless jock's shot against nerds. The thing this fool should be reviewing is his dumb friends advice on "sports stores," a friend who confuses the difference is a danger to your health. This is one of the best gaming stores I have ever been to. If I didn't know the difference between sports and games I wouldn't go around like a nut-case trying to making it other people's problem. This is the same kind of fool who actually LIVES the joke expression "If you don't like my driving get off the sidewalk." This guy has such a small brain he equates "Using your imagination" with being "Archaic." I am amazed that such a gorilla can use such big words. Excuse me, if "grown men" playing games was a problem for you then, like it is some serious business, what are you doing looking for a sports store?? Don't think you are a man because you bodycheck someone, it takes a lot more than that delusion. Compensating for their inadequates in the manly department is ALL that very pathetic review was.

Bar none, this place is great! They have a lot of games, including miniatures, board and card games, including many games I had never heard of!
Their lounge is really cool too, we were allowed to sit and play Dungeons and Dragons there one after noon! That was cool, anywhere else would have told us to leave! That's why I'll keep going back. They are friendly, funny and actually care about the people that walk in the door.
