2 weeks before Christmas I recieved a snappy, rude, pressing call from "Kim" saying I had to send them $3000. Obviously not going to happen. She was rude, pushy and snappy until I agreed to set up a payment. I left messages and called when I couldn't send the money with no response while i continued to get messages threatening legal messures. She is hands down the rudest human being I've dealt with. She talks down to you and when you get frustrated and snap back she hangs up on you. I asked to have my file transfered to someone else and apparently she is the absolute only one who can handle my file. I'm sickened by the threats and the treatments. I was yelled at and told I was not a customer, she is not in customer service then hung up. Do everything to can to avoid dealing with them.

Had a call on Company cell phone answered to a prerecorded message for ______ _________. Not me.
I call back the 1844-677-6643 on to be drilled on a maybe past employee, Frank was the agent and would not listen to why I was calling. Frank kept say this person must work there or must have worked there. When I final got this ass to listen and gave him the phone number the call came in on he started again. The person he was trying to reach is my son who I have no contact with and have had no contact for about 5 years, I explained this to Frank who wanted to know why? I told Frank that was none of his business and he said it was, but he would make note that I said this. Frank told me I should make a stronger effort to contact my son, I said to Frank maybe he should do that and leave the innocent alone. Frank stated “I should have did a better job raising my son to accept it responsibilities, which is when I terminated the phone call.
I called back and spoke to an employee who again drilled me on maybe an employee who works at my place of employment finally after an short interrogation I was put through a manager who at no surprise to me a got an answering machine, message finished up that he would get back to me at “HIS connivance”
I do not expect a call back as I believe from talking to Franks that the conditions of employment are you have to be the “ignorant SOB’ that I spoke about. My suggestion would be in the future you attract more flies with sugar than shit and instead of cutting up someone on how they raised their children should look at self, and how they address the public, you become who you portray.
I do not expect any feedback because according to this web site the reply is always the same “a solution to your apparent dilemma is to simply contact the firm and discuss with them what you indicated in your post and it will surely be looked into. No one on this site can address your concerns: contact the firm” and again I believe the NCR Company get off on their employees being this way and having their attitude.

Your looking for a previous employee of mine. I've called back on two previous occasions that this person does not work for me or have any association with me. I was promised that this would never happen again, and I will be speaking with a lawyer on monday to pursue legal action. (This will stop)

Who are these meatheads???? Repeatedly call asking for someone I don't know. I explain they have wrong number. They say ok, then call me again tomorrow. I live in Alberta, and have had this number for 20 years. Is this type of harassment legal in Ontario??? Is there no solution???

On checking my Equifax Report as I have been doing for years, I noticed a collection on my reporting for a Rogers Bill. When I investigated, Equifax stated I had to contact reporting Agency. I called Rogers, gave them all of my particulars, age, sin # and so on, and that I had never owed them a Bill it had to be my son's Bill (with same name Jr,, Rogers verified this info and told me to contact credit reporting agency and get account # for Rogers that they were trying to collect. I called the National Credit repo on Dec. 15th, 2015 requested the info Rogers wanted, (acct #) and the lady I spoke to ask for all my info. I gave them the same info I gave Rogers, and she immediately told me this would be rectified at once. Guess what! still on my Equifax Report. Called Equifax they said nothing they could do. F....ked up my credit, Equifax and the likes are in cahoots will these kinds of companies, Now have to hire lawyer!!!

I came home from work to hear a member of this company called looking for my husband and harassed my underage teen-aged daughter for 10 minutes. I did call the company and advised them to make a note on the account, if they speak to anyone in my household who is not the person on the account, I will be contacting a lawyer as well as the Ombudsman. This is unacceptable and illegal.

Paid debt in full and was told a release letter would be emailed in 3 days. Was not. After being lied to three subsequent times about them sending the email, I am filing a complaint with consumer affairs.

They called with an auto dialer and attempted to collect a debt that was 9 or 10 years old.
In Alberta it is illegal to try to collect anything more than 6 years old.

They lie to get you to make payments to restart litigation periods. Last I checked, lying to collect debt is against the law.

Extremely rude on the phone. Been hung up on. Been called a liar when it wasn't even my debt! Very unprofessional. They even threatened legal action AFTER LITIGATION had passed.

Very unprofessional

I payed my bill for a company NCR try to collect the money for 2 years ago. Bank transaction made. I thought it's done. Boy, I was wrong by a mile. One year later they called me again on the same bill, said I did not pay. So, I found the bank transaction statement, they updated their record. I did not get bothered again... till the last few day from another credit recover company on the same bill say I did not pay. I'm just so pissed, now I have to give a proof of payment to the other credit recover company. For the single star I give to NCR, the lady received my call said they are sending my a letter now. So, I can fax the copy of the letter to the other credit recover company to clear my name.

as far as I am concerned this is the worst company ever. I paid the debt that they wanted but they never contacted Equifax to update my credit file in over a year. when I contacted them for a letter of release it was a nightmare. The guy that I was forced to talk with was Renaldo, I finally had to resort to calling him every hour on the hour at which each time he assured me that the letter was emailed. It took me all day to get the proper letter from him, I don't know if he found this funny or not but I most certainly didn't. There should be a punishment for employees such as this. This company wants your money but will not hold up their end of the deal after they get it. I am going to keep phoning there until I get some one that is higher up and in charge of these people until I get a letter of apology. To say that I am angry is putting it mildly, any one that has to deal with any type of these agencies should get a lawyer, if I had known all this I most certainly would have.

I received a few phone calls from National Credit and I was worried about returning their call after reading the reviews. I thought maybe this place was a scam. Finally I decided just to call and see what exactly was going on. Shocked to find out I owed a bill from 2009 I didn't even remember or was I contacted about this bill in years! Obviously being upset, the female I spoke to was very understanding and instead of insisting I pay she provided me with all the details to my account so I can look into it and call her back. After doing so, I found out and was provided proof that yes I did owe this money. I called back speaking to a different girl who was very kind and gave me a very good settlement After telling her I could not even come up with that one time payment, being a single mother, she agreed to split my offer and work with me. The 2 girls that I spoke to made me feel proud of my self for paying off my debt. The last words I was told was... you did it! I'm so proud of you. Hopefully I will never have to deal with collections again but if I do I know it won't be such a headache if they call me.

You were shocked to hear that you owed a debt from six years ago? I bet you'd be even more shocked to learn that the debt was out of time and not legally enforceable. The money doesn't go to the original creditor! They took money from a single mom dishonestly and THEY got your money. Did they explain that the money WOULD NOT be going to the original creditor? YOU WERE SCAMMED!

They violate Ontario law, trying to sound all legal and the like.

Call peoples cell phones, which is a prohibited practice in Ontario, as a collector cannot contact you in a way that costs the receiver money. And calling a cell phone costs the receiver air time, possible long distance if they are outside their "home" area, and possible roaming fees if you are outside Canada.

Their also threaten to sue as you are in "breach of contract" on accounts that are barred by the Limitations Act (Ontario) or haven't had any payments made in over 2 years.

I have never experienced such professionalism, passion and friendliness anywhere else as I just did with National Debt recovery. Clean and we'll mannered employees who are willing to listen and work things out with you. I wish all organizations will follow suit.

They repeatedly called my cell phone (with an Ontario number) which is a prohibited practice.

They also were trying to collect on a statute barred debt, as in Ontario once no payments have been made for 2 years, the Statute of Limitations Act applies, and you cannot be sued to collect the debt.

Received a phone call a few days ago, with a message saying that if I or an attorney did not contact there company by the end of the day (which it was already almost 5pm)that they were seeking immediate legal action. I called back and they told me that I owed a Direct Energy Bill from 2003 of $118 (11 years ago). Well, I did not move to Alberta or to this residence in which the file is related until 2006??? She had no answer for this, nor could she give me any information about anything when I told her all of my debts were paid off to Direct Energy when I sold this same property (which once again, I did not live at until 2006, NOT 2003). So, I am confused and frustrated and feel I am being taken advantage of.

Just recieved a call from these clowns, said I wasn't working and tried to make arrangements to pay my debt to which their employee called me a dead beat loser, among other derogatory remarks and then said if I didn't pay within a week a warrent would be issued for my arrest and I would be put in jail! Lmao! So illegal to say! This company should screen the calls for nonsense like this. Anyways I recorded the call and sent it to consumer affairs. Any collection agency knows its illegal to mislead debtors in any way and especially threaten them with jail. Big no-no!

National Credit calls my phone for someone else 2 to 3 times a week. I called their office & they said they would remove my number. Still get calls. Wrote a letter to tell them calling the wrong number. They still call. Now filed a complaint with Consumer Services. If you are a client, you are being ripped off as you're paying them to call the wrong number. You will not recover your money.

I received an automated call from this agency with no information on the issue. It was very of no merit at all. Instead it bordered on harassment.
