Our company has had great success with Cortex. We have done a few engagements with them and they have always been extremely professional and their work is top notch. What stands out most for us would be 2 things; 1) they really tailor their services to meet their clients needs, it is not a rigid, fixed set of services and 2) while the process is a lot of fun, their focus never comes off the final, marketable product.
All that to say... when you are looking for a design firm for your product, look at how many products they have gotten to market with clients. Cortex clients are continually winning awards and having successful product launches. That is what mattered most to us. We wanted our product to be commercially successful.
