Just such a caring team spent time talking about my dog and the awful experience she had at playful paws they were amazin highly recommend them

The old owner was kind, polite and accommodating. Since the business changed hands I haven't returned due to the rudeness of the woman at the desk. She was belittling and unfriendly when I walked in to book an appointment. Good riddance.

Original management and staff was AWESOME! I have taken my dog there since the day they opened. Under new management - friendly for sure - but I've noticed the care isn't there. Dogs barking like crazy in the back room and nobody there to calm them down. And the handling of my dog while getting his nails cut were a bit awkward. And at one point he almost fell off the grooming table. I'd really like to know where the original staff have moved too... Someone help! My dog deserve it!

My biggest thing when choosing a dog groomer is one that takes care of my dog well. There are horror stories about other groomers caring for pets poorly and I wouldn't want that to happen to my dogs. These groomers really seem to care for the pets well. It means a lot that the groomers seem happy and friendly.

They do an excellent job grooming both of my small breed dogs. It typically take 4 hours to groom both of them. The cost is quite expensive compared to most, but having tried 4-6 other terrible groomers within the city, we will continue going to What A Mess.

If the pets continue to be cared for at a high level and grooming standards stay high, I will continue to take both my dogs here and suggest others do to.

We have been taking our dog to What A Mess since we got her 5 years ago and she's always loved going there. When we dropped her off last time she planted her feet and didn't want to go into the back. We normally pay for the upgrade package and this time no perfume, no bandana or bows and we can't really tell if we got what we paid for. Really loved this place but with the new ownership, management, and huge price hike I don't think we will be taking her back

We have been taking our dog to What-a-Mess for several years and have been extremely pleased with the service. However, today I took my dog for a wash, haircut and nail trim (the usual) and was charged $157.00. This is a 43 pound dog who is very well behaved when being groomed - that's what they told me. I was in shock and asked why the big jump in price. I was told the place is under new ownership and that she is keeping up with the going rate. What did I know? So I went home and called 4 different groomers to get a ball park figure for our type of dog, the size etc. The prices ranged from $75 to $95. That sounded like the going rate. We paid $75 three months ago. Wow! The price doubled. So I called the owner who was very defensive and quite rude. She said she would review it, but didn't know when she'd get back to me which I kind of interpreted as probably never. I went to talk to her in person and she called me the rudest person she had ever met and that I was a bully. Well, all I really wanted to know is why I wasn't informed of the over 100% increase in price when I dropped the dog off. If that had been said, I could have made the decision to leave my dog or not leave her. I can understand an increase but not such a drastic increase in 3 months especially when it is more than double. By now the price isn't the issue - it's the very aggressive way she spoke to me. Instead of hanging up, this time she just went to the back and wouldn't talk to me anymore. So if you're thinking of taking your pet there, check out the price first. I won't be going back and I feel badly about it because the women who have groomed our dog have always done an excellent job and have been very friendly.

Last 2 years am the client. Not always perfectly cut, but In general by service I am satisfied . In comparison with others places in Saskatoon this place is very good . I recommend.

Reading the reviews, mostly from a couple years ago ...2011...under new manager now and "poor" management ... My dog was attacked walking in, gates not closed when handling bigger dogs (and told they were going to speak with the owner of the dog) as they were not warned it was an aggressive dog ... I did not have to be told this was an aggressive dog, purposely waited outside till he was in past the couple gates. Nevertheless, no empathy, compensation from manager/owner at this business - Just told "this has never happened here" ... nevertheless it does not change anything and did not make me feel any better. I was certain there would be some compensation for this ... absolutely not, manager operating the till, no remorse and $58 please ! I thought to myself "Really"? And asked same? Like I said, poor management, a good manager would have said ... "I am so sorry for what you, your dog and my staff experienced here this morning " ... this one is on us.
Their prices took a $l0 hike just recently, now making it almost $60. I have found an awesome groomer, and there are several out there for $45... I will not support this person's business, she is not there for the love of the animals I feel.

I have taken two male large cats in for nail trimming. The girls had the cats done before they even know what was going on. The ladies were very much in control of the animals and the animals were relaxed in their environment. The cats do not like it when I do their nails so I leave it to the professionals and all is wonderful. Thank you treating all that I see with such care and professionalism. Location is terriffic and good parking.

I would like to say that I am so very Happy with What A Mess...My dog has no problem even entering the building..He seems to be as ease when he is there.They do an awesome job. When he comes out of there he is done just perfect..The only problem that I have is that because they are so good ..it is hard to get in ..Kepp up the good work..

whatamess grooming salong is by far the best grooming salon in the city! with an incredible cleanly inviting atmosphere. the dogs a re treated very well and come home happy and looking incredible. the groomer is polite and gentile with the dogs and does a great job. i will recomend this salon to anyone and everyone with or even without a dog
