I had an unpleasant experience with Plaza Kia dealership and I lost my deposit for nothing to exit from a Lease Contract.
I am writing to let you know that you should avoid this dealer and if you decide to buy/lease a kia consider other dealers:
- Do not trust on verbal agreements, almost means nothing. Like Color of the car, equipment, etc.
- Do not believe the price of a service they show you on a piece of paper. they offered me Tire protection for $599+Tax and later in bill of sale it was listed as $699+Tax.
- Read the Agreement very carefully. They make a lot of mistakes.
- After I insisted to walk away from the lease agreement they offered a different monthly payment at the very end which means the payment we agreed was not a fair one and had a lots of room for them to play with.
- They refused to refund the deposit saying that they had the car delivered to dealership, however they couldn't get me approved to finance the car. I asked them to give me the VIN of the car but they didn't have any to support their claim.

Stay away from them. If it comes to refund, they will NEVER give you even a cent. Just go through the review list and u will see. They gave me the feeling that they will never put any effort on something financially unproductive to them such as refund. This is the dealership that you should avoid 100%.

Buyers BEWARE: Worst Experience of my life.
I have a feeling Half of the positive reviews here are made up. They made their FNF write them pretending to be a customer. Bought a car on the 3rd of Nov 2016 and the car was delivered to me on the 21st Nov. When they sold me the car they said it had 92,076 KM on it but the car was delivered to me with 94,187 KM, SHAMELESS SCAMMERS and LIARS, then they put wrong information on the Ownership. And I have all the documents to prove my words and even they know it very well.
Told me to turn insurance on as the car was ready and to pick it up on 5th Nov, but they canceled it and asked me to pick it up on 7th and then changed it to 8th but then again assured me I can pick it up on the 9th but then they canceled it again 2hours prior to the pick time. I kept calling them and sending emails NONSTOP, hardly got a reply or phone call back from anyone. Very ignorant people THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU AFTER YOU HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. Their exact word when I went to the dealership “We don’t know when the car will be ready for pickup, we will notify you once its ready, there’s no exact date”
People I dealt with:
Isabela – Very nice lady no complains so far.
Daniel Stein and this other Lady (new employee) sold me bumper to bumper warranty for $1800 then comes back after 5 mins and tells me he made a mistake the price is actually $2500, I had no option as I wanted the warranty so I accepted it, but wait LMAO after 10 mins he comes back to me again tells me his cost for the warranty is $3000 so I will have to pay $3000 LMAO. I had to get a cheaper warranty instead for $2400.
Joon kim – acts like he is doing me a favor by selling me the car. wants me to chase him instead of calling me and following up. Every time I call him he says “I will let you know tomorrow and give you update”, but no phone calls/emails.
Paul Seminara -Just watches what’s going on (as he was CC on all the email correspondence I had with Plaza Kia and he could see that no one’s getting back to me and im not happy) but does nothing. Doesn’t say a word or takes action or gives a damn about Customer Satisfaction. He’s probably waiting for me to write a review and tell everybody the truth so that he can reply with “I apologies call be directly I will take care of it” lol Whereas after all this when I spoke to him in person his exact words on NOV 21st when I was picking up the Vehicle after I found out they lied about the odometer reading "if you're not happy with the deal just take you car back, I can reverse the deal for you"
I had no option but to keep the car as I need a bigger cause my wife is due in 20days and I don't have much time to shop around for cars anymore.

I had a maintenance service for my Sorento at this dealer ship included tire rotation in 2014 summer. yesterday i went tire shop to repair my tire and found missing wheel lock key.
I called KIa and talked with service department. I heard they use there own lock key but at that time their mechanic asked me for wheel lock key.

After signing and agreeing to a contract, jokester salesman Terry told us the car would be ready in 3 days. We traveled 30km through traffic to pick up a car only to have him tell us the car wouldn't be ready for another week. He did this again a week later, telling us it still wasn't ready! Terry insisted it "wasn't his fault" many times, telling us KIA had "recalled" a sensor, (turns out it was NOT a recall, just a faulty part on the car). They also charged us a $100 A/C charge on a car without AC!

After all this, the manager, Paul offered us an insincere apology for the communication breakdowns (what about the week of paid insurance, the gas, and the time spent traveling to & fro while you got your act together Paul???), and a free oil change.

At least Paul gave us the option to walk away...which we did.

I was interested in one of their cars recently, but after test driving the car I was less than impressed. There was a persistent clicking noise to my left that I could not identify. Furthermore, the car was very dirty (lots of sand, dry dirt inside the engine and everywhere), and it was VERY HEAVILY SMOKED IN!!!

The price is what attracted me there, but when they slapped on their "fees" on top of taxes, it was much more than I could afford, and wasn't reasonable anymore.
They charge you $600 to certify the car (do safety).
NO OTHER DEALERSHIP CHARGES FOR SAFETY (CERTIFICATION) OR EMISSION!! IT'S ALWAYS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. ALWAYS.
This is ridiculous - they say the $600 also includes an oil change, a mechanical inspection by their shop, and to clean the car!
Well, oil change is $40, mechanical inspection $100 maximum, safety is $40, and cleaning another $100. Total = $280 maximum.

Why charge $600???

Furthermore they charge $400 for some anti-theft stickers!!

If all this wasn't enough, they wouldn't let me take their car to my mechanic!! They said that the salesperson couldn't leave the dealership (his time is expensive etc. etc.), and that the car couldn't leave the lot..blah blah blah.
yeah like Kia is such a good car that people run in every 5 minutes to buy one!!

Needless to say, I promptly got up and left. They have lost my business, and I will never do business with them again.

IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: Most of their used cars are overpriced and fairly run-down. I saw one car on their lot today, that was on their lot more than 1 year ago!! That was back when the dealership was still called Plaza Mitsubishi!! Go figure!!

These guys pride themselves of 50 years of great customer service (at least that's what they say on their website).
Unfortunately, words are only words.

They are just a bunch of crooks who will try to rip you off.

NEVER BUY A USED CAR FROM A DEALERSHIP THAT REFUSES TO TAKE THE CAR TO A MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE BEFORE THE SALE!!!

I'VE DEALT WITH MANY DEALERSHIPS, AND THIS WAS ALMOST NEVER A PROBLEM!!!

WHAT DO THESE GUYS HAVE TO HIDE???
