I have been ordering from Event Deco Direct for a couple of years. The products are nice, but my recent experience was a nightmare. Instead of paying using a credit card I decided to pay via Paypal since I didn't have my credit card handy. My client later decided to cancel and only wanted a partial order. This is where the problem starts. Money was immediately taken out my checking account ($925). I contacted Direct Event Décor the same day order was placed to ask that order be cancel and refunded requested. Never could get a live representative, so I sent an email. I was advised that order was cancel and received a confirmation that order was cancel. However, my account showed otherwise. That should have been an indication something was wrong. I checked for eight days on Paypal and my refund never showed. After not seeing my refund on the day 6 I started calling Paypal and Event Décor. Paypal stated Event Décor never initiated a refund. I am now at day 10 and still don't have my money or see anything on the Paypal portal. If you ever dealth with Paypal, you know once money show up on Paypal there is an additional 1-3 days before it shows in your bank. On day 8 called Event Décor and Customer Service Rep said the Accounting department stated it will 3-5 days before it show up on Paypal. By now, I am pissed. So, I am waiting now day 10 for my refund and no sign of it on Paypal or anything from Event Décor. Word to the wise, DO NOT USE PAYPAL when paying for items on EVENT DECOR DIRECT. It will be a pain in the but if you have to cancel your order. I gave them a 1 because there was not a button for 0. Another issue is the Customer Service availability. I tried for three days to get a live person and kept getting the Event Décor Direct jingle song voicemail. I am very dissatisfied at the level of service I received on this last encounter.

This is the first time dealing with this company and it will certainly NOT be my last. The customer service was GREAT.
They were very helpful. I received my order for my event as I requested. And the product was more then I expected it to be.
I will be ordering from them in the future and passing this website onto my friends and fellow co-workers.

July, 2011 I ordered a 8ft fairy light head table kit and a valance along with 2 feather balls and 2 chandelier crystals. It took nearly 5 weeks before I got my delivery. I called two weeks after my purchase and they said they were backed up due to the wedding season and would be shipping hopefully in the next week or so. I also did not get my free shipping as advertised on there site. When my product arrived I did not get my chandelier crystal and was told it was out of stock. I was very frustrated since this order had been placed weeks ago. I was told it would be back in stock in Sept. I called back and was told it would not be back in stock until middle to end of October. My head table kit once opened and inspected was also completely wrong. I had ordered sheer organza and I got voila. The size was also completely wrong. When I called they said they stopped selling the size I bought a year ago. It was suppose to be 5ft wide and instead it was 10ft wide. It was also way to long. When I inspected it closer it was just a curtain with a rod inseam. I mentioned this as well as they stated that all there fabrics are made with a seam. They just suggested that I cut it off and also I either fold it in half and then try to hang it or cut it. My light strand was also way to short when I finished hanging it. I was very disappointed and told them that had I known that my entire order was going to be wrong meaning my fabric and I didn't get my chandelier crystal I would have cancelled because the only thing I got out of the entire purchase was my feather balls. I am hoping I will still get my crystals I guess time will tell on this.

Great company with some very unique products. They worked with me to customize my order with items not listed on their site so don't be afraid to ask for something if you don't see it. Prices seemed high at first but just ask for the wholesale discount when you order and they'll bring the total down. Will definitely buy from again.
