Rene Blanchet Yacht Sales Ltd

Rene has been selling boats since 1968 when he purchased a marina business on the Rideau River near Ottawa. In 1975, he sold his business and moved with his family to Alexandrian Bay, NY, to become Sales Manager at Bonnie Castle Yacht Basin, the largest marina in the 1000 island, and one of the largest Hatteras and Chris Craft dealers at that time. His experience is vast, and certainly has lots of knowledge of boats and the boat business. He has traveled the world while in the Navy, and while in the boat business, he has navigated the open seas from Canada to Florida several times, in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbeans. Since 1987, Rene has been concentrating solely on the brokerage business, and purchased Clift Marine Sales in Port Credit, Ontario, which he sold several years later but remained with the company until the passing of the owner in October 2008, at which time Clifts Marine Sales was closed, and Rene decided to go on his own and started Rene Blanchet Yacht Sales Ltd which he operated with great success, and decided to retire in 2021. His retirement did not last long when he received a call from a good friend and owner of Beaches Marine Brokerage, saying you can't retire, come work with me and name your own hours!
