I will not shop here again gave them benefit of doubt on last purchase . Wentbin and purchased a couch and entertainment stand. Was told yup its in stock (as per salesman) . And they call day before to set up 2 hr window for delivery through text. What a disaster that was confirmed only to be called night before to be told not that it wasn't in stick but didn't make truck and you want to push it out 5 days. I purposely checked with salesman to make sure it was in stick because of supply chain issues just to be told it didn't make the truck . Now I have to call manager and cancel my delivery time for elevator . More of a hassle than it's worth

From the moment we walked in the store Tim Aarssen was very helpful. He was patient as we looked through the store and was in no way pushy. When we came back the next day with family to help make a decision on what we needed he again waited patiently and did not hover over us. This type of respect for customers goes a long way in our books and encourages us to return this store in the future when we are shopping for furniture.

Last year we purchased a stove, dishwasher & fridge my first new purchase in 20 years, so first surprise was having to pay $100 for interest free payments over two years, so OK was surprised but that's not too bad and then got surprised by an additional $100 delivery charge, so OK I really need appliances my old ones weren't cutting it.
So got my appliances and everything fine until 9 months later fridge starts acting up bottom freezer door doesn't shut, short story short a repair man we had to get found out manufacturer defect and need new door $500 and Teppermans won't help at all was also told they don't have a repair centre. Delivery guys were the only good part.
So I will never buy from here again and have told all friends we know. Very disappointed

I have been dealing with Teppermans for years now with no problems to speak of. However today we were scheduled to have a freezer delivered between the hours of 11:15am - 2:15pm (which was relayed by phone to us) I had to take time off work in order to be at home for the delivery and empty the 22 cf freezer that we have. I checked on line once I was home to see approx. time that the freezer would be delivered and I found that our times had been changed to 1:15pm to 4:15pm but nobody relayed this info to us. When I called they said it was a clerical error and there was nothing they could do but that does not pay my wages for having to leave work and what happens if our food spoils before then (which will be around 4pm). I do not feel they were very helpful and this will be the last purchase I make from them.

Waste of time and gas!!
Went for the $199.00 chair on the day the sale started when the store opened, sales lady says we are all out but we are taking names in case more come available, can I interest you in something else? Yes you can give me money for wasting my time and gas!!!! Another BS promotion!! To get people into the store. Clearly Teppermans do not care about wasting peoples time and gas. I will never spend another dime at Teppermans as long as I live!!!!!!!!

Were told a few weeks for delivery, no problem, 1 month goes buy no furniture, call in, and told 2 more weeks, no offer of compensation, only excuses and blaming suppliers. No responsibility taken by themselves. Rita Biskey says I will speak to a manager about a discount for you and call you tomorrow, 4 days , no call so I call, told sorry we wont do anything for you. Get a call today 1 1/2 months and we are told mid February now, no offer of compensation from anyone, dealt with this store since it was at the old location, and spent well over 10k to date. Store has gone downhill, guess we will start looking elsewhere

I had been to Tepperman's a few times looking at furniture...I didn't find "many" of the staff, friendly or inviting...(although I didn't talk to all of them) Then I met Terry Coopman...she was bubbly, very kind and accommodating... I had an item which was on backorder...instead of me paying to have it delivered (a second time) Terry brought it to my home on her own time, and wouldn't even let me reimburse her for her gas...I was very pleased to say the least...she said "we're all a part of this small community, we're just here to help each other"...Keep up the good work Terry!

Rita Marie Biskey. It has been a pleasure to deal with Rita over the past 2 and a half years. We walked into Teppermans Chatham thinking "how could we ever find the furniture we wanted after buying from the Windsor store the previous 4 years". The store appeared gloomy and small. However here comes this sales lady who was radiant and showed a confidence of the professional that she was and is We soon were WON over by her honesty and suggestions. In the last purchase we were in the store for over 5 hours attempting to find the most suitable loveseat for our home. She had a terrible cold and yet there she was in the midst of assisting us in this important purchase. FOR 5 HOURS!! We find that we are always drawn to Teppermans because of Rita to find our next furniture purchases. Thanks Rita. YOU ARE THE BEST and very appreciated. Kim and Bud Baker.

On October 19th, we attended your location and purchased two bedroom sets, a queen mattress set, sofa couch with sleeper bed, sofa and oversize chair, kitchen table and chairs, and coffee table. We were relocating from Toronto and essentially needed an entire house worth of furniture. We were helped by a lovely salesperson named Terri. Terri informed us that all the furniture, with the exception of the couch and chair set, would be delivered on November 2nd, however the other pieces were not in stock, but would be delivered November 12th. True to form, the furniture was delivered November 2nd, and despite that they damaged our hardwood floor, we were happy with our purchases. On November 11th, having not heard from Teppermans about the next day delivery we were anticipating, we went to the store to see what was up. We saw Terri who recognized us and said 'oh I was just in your order today'. She asked what was up and we said we hadn't heard about delivery tomorrow. She then went into our account and said 'oh the chair is in but the couch isn't expected til the 19th'. Huh? What do you mean? Sorry but we were told the 19th and we need a couch set for tomorrow as we have been sitting on the floor since the 1st. Terri asked if we would be willing to look at a different set, and while reluctant, we agreed as we desperately wanted our couch set. After selecting a similar set, Terri checked and luckily it was in stock. She called the delivery company who informed her that all trucks were full for the next day delivery, unless we were willing to pay. Knowing this wasn't going to fly with us, she said no and tried to arrange for another delivery date. On the phone Terri kept saying Tuesday delivery was the earliest to whomever she was speaking with. After getting off the phone, she told us that Tuesday was the earliest date the trucks could fit us in. We asked to speak with the manager, hoping that someone could help rectify this situation. We were then introduced to Louisa, who let us know she was the General Manager and that she was sorry that we didnt understand that the furniture couldn't be delivered on the 12th, as it wasn't even in the system for delivery and that they NEVER guarantee delivery dates for orders not in stock. I assure you, if I had been told that the remaining items would be delivered whenever they finally came in, be it a week, two weeks, three weeks or some arbitrary date, I WOULD NEVER HAVE ORDERED the product. We were specifically told back in October that the remaining two items would be delivered on November 12th. Never once were we told that this was an estimated date, a maybe date, a wait and see date. Never once. When my husband tried to explain to Louisa that we were not happy with having to wait til Thursday, this so called general manager then stated 'so you are telling me the Terri is a liar'. My husband got very irritated and said 'do not put words in my mouth. I never once said Terri was a liar. I am merely telling you what we as the customer were told. We have no clue what goes on behind the scenes'. She then said 'okay Terri, did you tell them it was coming on the 12th? Now at this point, to put her sales person on the spot like that was terrible. As if Terri was going to admit that she did tell us delivery was happening on the 12th. Once again, Louisa told us that she was sorry there was a miscommunication on our part, to which we said no there wasn't. We were told the 12th and after dropping $8,000.00 in the store, we hoped Teppermans would offer us something better then a sorry. I asked Louisa what Teppermans could offer us for this huge inconvenience at which time Louisa got very angry and said 'you are already getting free delivery what more do you want'. I reminded her that we already paid for delivery on the first order and that the fact that our entire order could not be delivered on November 2nd was not our fault. I asked Louisa if Teppermans would throw in some throw pillows or something as a good will gesture or else we would have to cancel the order as we really needed our couches delivered. Your so called general manager said 'go get your money back'.

She then ordered a female named Chris to 'escort' us to the front. Escort us? Excuse me? We are not criminals. We are not anyone in need of an escort. To throw away a sale and be willing to refund an order and lose customers and to treat us so poorly is disgusting. I really hope her choice of words 'escort' had nothing to do with the fact that my husband is black as it sure as hell felt like that. In fact, earlier in this meeting of Louisa, Terri said 'these are good people'. Louisa looked at Terri and rolled her eyes and audibly said 'pfft'. I even called her out on it amd said 'are you kidding me. How dare you look at her like we aren't good people'

It is no coincidence that as soon as we walked in there, Terri instantly said 'oh I was in your account today checking on them'. Clearly Terri picked today to look at the status of the account because she was also anticipating delivery tomorrow. I know what she damn well told us back in October and so does she.

I am thoroughly disgusted and appalled that your general manager is able to treat customers in the manner she treated us. All we wanted was the furniture we had ordered and paid for, and were even willing to accept a lesser priced couch and chair just to get it delivered sooner but this woman offered nothing to us other then sorry you don't understand anything.

I would never recommend Teppermans to anyone after this experience. To throw away customers who had every intention of buying even more things to furnish our home and not even offer any solution is beyond any business model I have ever seen.

I'm new to Chatham and spent $8000.00 to fully furnish my new home. The original purchase was made on October 18th. The furniture was to be delivered November 1st as we took possession of the home. One of the living room sets wasn't in stock and we were told would be delivered November 12th and would receive a call on the 11th to notify us. Friday November 11th we hadn't received a call yet and decided to go to the store to see what was going on with our order. Now keep in mind we were charged a delivery fee on the original purchase. However since the second living room couldn't be delivered until the 12th they wanted to charge a second delivery fee. I objected to this...just spent $8000...however the manager Louise insisted I pay a second delivery fee for something that I liked on their showroom and wasn't in stock. The salesperson objected and said to her "your going to let an $8000 order walk out over a delivery charge"? Louise finally waved the second delivery charge. Now back at Tepperman's on November 11th to see why we hadn't received notification of our pending delivery that was already purchased and told would be delivered on November 12th. We enter and immediately approach the salesperson of the original transaction. We inform her that we haven't received a phone call regarding the rest of our purchase. She says "they should have called you to let you know it wasn't coming and email me a message". And then follows that up with "I was in your file earlier today to see what's going on". DISCLAIMER:was I mad...YES...did I raise my voice...yes...didn't yell...did I swear...ABSOLUTELY NOT. I then ask to speak to a manager. Eventually two managers approach me Chris and LOUISE. LOUISE explains to us that we misunderstood what was said to us. We were told that the 12th was an ESTIMATION when the furniture would arrive that they could never guarantee when a product would arrive. The new ESTIMATED date was now the 19th. So I then ask LOUISE "by your own logic...if the 19th comes and it's not available when would it be available. And if you can't say when it's available do we just wait indefinitely"? No answer. So now we're willing to take another set and I wanted it delivered on the 12th as originally promised...now here's the kicker...they can't get it on a delivery truck as all of them are already full. So I suggest since we have been inconvenienced for some time take another order off deliver ours and delay that order by one day...we were then informed if we want next day delivery we HAVE TO PAY A DELIVERY CHARGE!!! HMMM...CAN'T DELIVER BUT PAY A FEE AND WE'LL DELIVER. My wife then says "listen we'll take another set....STILL WILLING TO DO BUSINESS...how about you throw in a couple of pillows for this inconvenience"? LOUISE the store manager says "cancel their order and get them out of the store". KEEP IN MIND WE'RE TALKIN ABOUT PILLOWS....LOUISE CANCELLED AN ORDER OVER SOME PILLOWS...WE DIDN'T ASK FOR SOME MASSIVE DISCOUNT...WE'RE TALKIN ABOUT PILLOWS...$1650 WALKED OUT THE DOOR OVER PILLOWS. LOUISE should not be in a position to deal with customers ESPECIALLY people who are new to the city and chose Tepperman's over Leons & The Brick. ALL OVER SOME PILLOWS. The sales associate to her credit said to LOUISE "these are good people"...to which LOUISE GAVE HER A DIRTY LOOK AND GESTURED "YEAH RIGHT". I WILL SAY THIS TRUTHFULLY. I ENJOYED GOING INTO TEPPERMAN'S BECAUSE QUITE FRANKLY THEY NICE AND UNIQUE PIECES. THE SALES ASSOCIATES WERE ALL FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. AND I MOST CERTAINLY INTENDED TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM EVEN AFTER MY HARDWOOD FLOOR WAS DAMAGED DURING THE FIRST DELIVERY. BUT TO CANCEL MY ORDER EVEN THOUGH WE WERE TRYING TO FINISH THE DEAL THAT THEY FAILED TO LIVE UP TO...TO SUGGEST THAT AS A 45 YEAR MAN THAT SOMEHOW I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT I COULD NEVER EVER BE PROMISED A DELIVERY DATE THAT...THAT YOU CAN PAY FOR FURNITURE AND SIMPLY GET IT WHEN WE GET IT....AND TOLD TO LEAVE THE STORE OVER SOME PILLOWS...PATHETIC!!!!!

Bought a new mattress in September 2016, and got a great deal "on sale".
Saleslady was friendly and helpful and explained the different products to help us decide what was best for us.
Adam and Nick did a good job of removing the old mattress and installing the new one.
Have bought quite a few furnishing over the last 15 years from Teppermans ( or the annex ) and have never been disappointed.

I purchased a leather sofa and loveseat from Teppermans in March 2015. I wanted a sofa and loveseat to last, so that was why I chose a genuine leather sofa/loveseat rather than a bonded leather set. I spent over $2,500 on the sofa and loveseat, and also purchased the warranty and special leather moisturizer cream for an additonal $288 . At the time I purchased the sofa/loveseat, I chose to pay for it in 18 months. The leather on the seat cushions is already starting to wear. I called Teppermans and they sent out a technician to take photos. A week later, I called Teppermans Customer Care line and was told that there was nothing they could do. I told the lady at customer care that I wanted to speak to someone else. Still waiting to speak with someone else. I've called 2 different people, and neither has returned my phone call. I am very disappointed in Teppermans, as I haven't even paid for my furniture yet and it is starting to wear. In the past, I have bought all of my furniture from Teppermans. I still have a television unit and sectional sofa on my account there. I can tell you that I will not purchase anything from Teppermans ever again. Very disappointed in the service and quality of the product I purchased.

My boyfriend and I just moved in together and purchased a matching couch and loveseat. We ourchased the Havilyn set which is beautiful and very comfortable to sit on. The salesperson Rita was phenomenal and even though we had to wait a few weeks it was worth it. Adam and Nick delivered or items and they came right on time and even called as I requested an hour beforehand to let me know when they would be there.
I have purchased a mattress in the past from Teppermans and was so pleased with their service and friendliness that I came back. 10/10 - Thank you once again!

Being very new to the area, I had never come across teppermans before. At the teppermans store on grand ave I was met by frriendly knowledgable staff. At no point did I feel pressurized to buy anything. My purchases were delivered on the day and time they said they would be and the delivery men were outstanding , polite efficient .and knowledgable . Teppermans your staff are a credit to you. Not only will I be using teppermans again I will be recommending you as well. Thank you so much.

It was great to follow the delivery tracking that enabled us to prepare closer to the delivery time. For example taking the door off just before they arrived. Adam and Nick were very helpful setting up and explaining how to hook up the water. They also took the time to make sure there were no issues helping to check for damage. We were pleased with the service we received. Brian and Julie Sharp

Although I was exceptionally impressed with their sales associate Terry and the whole process of buying our couch, delivery of the wrong product and minimal flexibility in helping make it right became more trouble than it was worth.
Two weeks later, I finally have the correct product but am astonished at how difficult the process was. What a gong show. If it wasn't for the kindness and genuine desire of Terry to make things right, I would have returned it altogether and taken my business elsewhere. I will not return.

Had excellent, professional, and very helpful delivery from Timothy, Bill, and Andrew. They went out of their way to set up our furniture and appliances, had to go down steep basement staircase. They were all very accommodating to trying to fit furniture in a smaller bedroom and everything turned out perfect! Great team!
