Anew U Spa

My pedicure today at A New U was fantastic. Marelies was very thorough, asked me questions about what I liked in my pedicure, and is a perfectionist. It was a great pedicure and I will be back to see Marelies again.

I wasn't overly enthused by the atmosphere of the spa when I first arrived. I found the twinkle lights in the waiting room a bit tacky. No one offered me anything to drink (a glass of water please) while I waited. However, my pedicure was nice. Kim was great and she's the reason I will go back here for pedicures. She didn't force a conversation which I personally really appreciate, and I even fell asleep and had a little nap at one point and she didn't say a word. Being pregnant and tired, I definitely appreciated the quiet, and the nap, while having my feet rubbed :-)

Had a pedicure done and was impressed with the salon's atmosphere and cleanliness. The woman who complained about having her own "bowl" to soak her feet in should be grateful since she won't catch the bacterial fungus from others. Very hard to find a place that uses this type of cleanliness. I won't put my feet in a pedicure chair that has jets. The bacteria is growing (read up how BAD these are) in the jets and cleaner won't get rid of it. The other places I have visited in Leduc all use these chairs with the jets and use only a basic cleaner bought from the dollar store. I would rather have my own insert so that I don't have to spend months trying to get rid of a bacterial fungus from the equipment. I won't go anywhere else in Leduc now that I have visited Anew U Spa and have seen the care and cleanliness they enforce.

Got a gift card for valentines day from my husband, used it for eye lash tint and full facial with massage. I've always wanted my eyelashes tinted and loved the look of it for the first day. Unfortunately,it only lasted the first day, it was supposed to last up to 2 weeks they said but it was gone within 2 days. When I went back for my facial I commented to the lady about it and she was more than happy to let me get it redone free of charge,I said no thank-you but the offer was nice. The lady that did my facial was very proffesional and informative. All in all the place is nice, friendly and informative, but too pricey for me to revisit. :)

Tina and her stafff are great. I purchased a tanning package, and I am greeted by name every time I go in. Yes, the tanning is more money, but the beds are far superior to any others you'll find in this area. The variety of services and customer service at this spa rivals those found in Edmonton.

This is a great spa. It is serene and wonderful to step into a low lit wonderful experience. The prices are higher than other places in Leduc but well worth it. I would recommend alll of their services to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful, inviting experience.
