I've been to different schools all over Toronto and this one is the best - by far. They have a grading system - and provide phenomenal feedback. The instructors are actually WORKING actors which is also VERY relevant. They also help you get an agent if you have potential. It's neat.

For ten years, the school has served to successfully bridge the gap between education and the industry. Boasting over 2000 of Toronto's regular working film and television actors as graduates and ongoing students of personal and studio training. Founded by Dean Armstrong (Queer As Folk, Triple Sensation, Repo! The Generic Opera, 1/2 years on Broadway in Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical Rent), the studio continues to gain rapid momentum with the support of some of Toronto's leading industry professionals like Jeremy Podeswa (The Pacific, Fugitive Pieces), Annmarie Morais (How She Moves, Da Kink in My Hair), Gail Harvey (Best Years, ReGenesis, This is Wonderland), among others. AAS operates two 13 week semesters annually, and offers specialty programs and intensive workshops. Selected intermediate and advanced level classes feature guest visits from some of Toronto's leading Film and Television Directors, Producers, Writers, Casting Directors and Agents.

The Armstrong Acting Studio hosts some of Toronto's leading film and television actors as instructors. Faculty members include: Jane Moffat (ReGenesis, Kevin Hill, Queer As Folk), Brenda Bazinet (Burn Up, MVP, Rabbit Town), Dixie Seatle (Gemini award-winning actress Paradise Falls, Adderley), Marcia Bennett (Grey Gardens, Fugitive Pieces, Slings and Arrows), Mark Bowden (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, original on set acting coach for the British Series The Office), among many
