We have been going to Green Lane since first acquiring our dog from the Toronto Humane society 4 years ago. Green Lane was very highly recommended by a close friend of ours, who has dealt with them for years, and she was absolutely right, we have been very pleased right from the start.
All of the staff are very knowledgeable and keep up to date on the latest issues and clinical techniques. The vets are very good clinically, as well as very kind and generous with their time, and provide expert, thoughtful and compassionate care
They have taken very good care of our girl and we would not go anywhere else.

Dr. Tara Sermer is the most amazing Vet and person I have ever met and have known. She goes beyond what is expected of any Vet or animal hospital, she treats your dog like it is one of her own and she treats me like I am family. As far as I am concerned, Tara and her wonderful team, Jennifer, Courtney, Sam, Sonya, Sharon and everyone there is loved by my little pug Kiva and we feel they are family and always will be.

Dr. Sermer is a fantastic veterinarian. I met her when she was working at a clinic in Scarborough, near my home. When she moved to Thornhill, I didn't hesitate to drive the extra distance for my dogs and cats. Tara has a wonderful "gut instinct." She's caring, compassionate, and incredibly competent. Highly recommended!

Dr. Tara Sermer is not JUST the most amazing Veterinarian but one of the most compassionate human beings I've ever met. The highest rating here is "5". Dr. Sermer and her staff deserves at least a "10"! Dr. Sermer takes her time......never rushing you....she genuinely cares and loves all of her patients. She will never do what doesn't need to be done. She has a giant size heart for her patients and their parents. I cannot say enough about Dr. Sermer. She is unlike any other Vet!!!! My "Pebbie" never shakes when we have to see her. The staff must not be overlooked. They, too, are so knowlegable, patient and understanding. We moved out of town last year......we would never go anywhere else. We love you Dr. Sermer!

I was referred to Dr. Tara by a random lady at Petsmart who overheard that I was looking for a vet. From the beginning (almost 2 yrs ago now), she showed a genuine interest in the well being of my dog. She's friendly and patient, and always goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is doing well overall. Now She's great at what she does and is always very gentle with my nervous little guy. I'd also like to mention that the ladies at reception are amazing too. Knowledgeable and friendly, they're always on top of things.

VERY knowledgable vet with a number of years of experience! our old one didn't understand what we as pet owners were going thru, vs. dr tara sermer knew exactly what were going thru, VERY understanding and non-judgemental.
prices are quite decent/toward the cheaper end vs. other vets i've seen, overcharge. and doesn't force you to buy anything.
there are other vets who work weekends and some nights- i would recommend seeing only dr. tara sermer, i didn't like the other vets probably b/c i have a very unique breed so not many vets have the experience seeing her. so when making an appt, specifically ask for her!

My dog was recently hit by a car and was brought to Green Lane Hospital by the OSPCA agent who found her roadside. So we accidentally became patients of Dr. Sermer and we are very happy we found her! She is very practical and straightforward, takes the time to answer your questions and explain things, and above all else, she genuinely cares. We live around the corner from Green Lane, but I would drive a long distance if I had to. The entire staff is a pleasure to deal with.

When you have 3 dogs, you must have an outstanding Vet. Dr. Sermer has been taking care of our dogs for over 10 years, with amazing competence and compassion. Dr. Sermer and her team of professionals are incredible! We have highly recommended Green Lane Animal Hospital to many people, and have always heard positive and glowing feedback about the care provided.

Dr. Sermer and her team are top notch. They provide excellent service and care for my animals. Their hours are fantastic with little or no wait times -- way better than my doctor! Our latest visit was for my cat's eye infection. Dr. Sermer and her team called to make sure he was doing well and that we didn't have any problems giving him the eye drops, and scheduled us in for a free follow-up visit to make sure he had completely healed. All in all, the best vet all around. We used to live in Richmond Hill and now live in Markham but still make the drive to see her.

Recently my 2-year-old cat Rocky got very sick. I was so scared and worried for my baby boy. I took him to Green Lane animal hospital, where he was accurately diagnosed and successfully treated by Dr. Sermer. Dr. Sermer and her staff followed up with us via telephone multiple times throughout his recovery. This vet is the best vet I have ever done businees with. She is extremely kind and compassionate and has done a wonderful, professional job. Will continue to visit them for many years to come.

Dr. Sermer and the Green Lane Animal Hospital staff are equally skilled at handling animals and their owners. Everyone is friendly, yet very professional. The staff take their time to listen, as well as answer any questions regarding all things concerning pet ownership.
The prices are competitive for its area (most often with better value) and worth every cent for their excellent, personalized service.
The hospital itself is clean and pleasant - puts owners and their pets at ease. My dog loves going to the vet and acts as if she's visiting friends, instead of going in for a check-up.
High quality products are available for purchase at the clinic, however the staff does not push these products on their clients.
All in all, the kind of vet clinic you wish were available in every neighborhood.

I don't work there, and I wrote this review years ago. We have moved since, and we still make the trip from downtown up to Thornhill to see Dr. Sermer, even though she was awesome enough to print out a list of clinics she recommended in our neighbourhood.
