I travel and work in many different countries; especially in Asia. In Asia I always receive the utmost politeness and customer service attention. I have always felt welcomed, and treated as if I were a special guest overseas. But as soon as you come back to this side of the ocean and walk in to a place like Shoeless Joe's you are made to feel like your are making them "do a job"by going out of their way to greet you and find you a place to sit. My experience at Shoeless Joe's was totally negative. The concierge did not bother to greet me, the manager on duty didn't bother to extend a welcome, and they seemed bothered that I requested from them a single seat to watch HNIC on a Saturday when it was a UFC fight nite. Because I was there to watch hockey I was treated as if I were some kind of unwanted guest crashing a party. In addition the service was totally slow, and I had to ask for service more than once. On top of that they proceeded to click off the hockey game which I was watching; as the manager snapped at me "Ïts fight nite". So naturally not being very happy with the way I was treated, I decided they were not worthy of a tip. I had to seek them out just to get my bill. But then the "ugly"waitress behind the bar decides to call me out in front of the whole bar saying I did not leave a tip. There is no rule you have to leave a tip for bad service; and if you have no intention of setting foot in their establishment again. If they want a tip, the be polite, courteous, pay attention to your guest and offer prompt service. Shoeless Joe's is run by a very arrogant and uncaring ownership. I ask anyone who reads this review to boycott this restaurant.

Not sure what the last review is saying, I bet it's an employee! My friends and I regular at this place, not because we like it because its the only sports bar open within winter walking distance. The service really bad, we just laugh it off now so we don't get annoyed. We just expect the worse-the food however is very good-as Shoesless Joes normally is.

We will change our local when something else opens.

Not sure about what the last review is really implying. I bet you it is an ex-employee, or a rival wing place.
The Shoeless Joe's Wings were plump, juicy, with a light crisp skin and inside lots of tender meat.....was it a chicken wing or small chicken leg. EXCELLENT wings....and I thought the server was excellent as my Guiness Glass was always freshened up and poured perfectly (hard to find a proper pour of Guiness).
Top marks for superlative wings (I havent found a better wing place) and great service.

You'll be happy you ate there.

Cheers

I went in with a buddy to watch some football and have some wings. We got a double order of Southern BBQ wings (traditional, not breaded). These were, bar none, the WORST WINGS I HAVE EVER HAD: they were plain (no sauce at all), greasy, and expensive (well over $1 per wing). I ate one wing, and felt sick the rest of the day.

We wanted to have some dinner and watch the hockey game so we went to Shoeless Joe's on Queen Quay West. The staff were super nice.. They brought us some drinks and changed the channel so we could watch the Detroit/Dallas game. I ordered the Great Canadian burger. It had peameal bacon and cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato ( I took off the tomato yuck :)as well as red onion on an egg bun. It was soo big that I had to cut it in half! It was sooooo delicious, I had to eat it all! :)
Their fries are also fantastic. I usually don't like fries.. except from McDonalds.. but I have to say... I'm in love with their fries. They were crispy on the outside..just the way I like them.. of course I had to eat them with Mayo.. oh so good!

sorry no photos.. my battery was dead :(
