The Arboretum, adjoining Guelph University is a tranquil place of lush gardens, winding walkways and zen habitats. This garden spans 165-hectares of nature trails, plants, forest and wetlands. Just a spectacualar place to take a nice walk, realx, and observe the wildlife. Commonly used for for faculty to conduct research in the Agriculture College, this space is a heaven for art and landscape architecture students to research and unwind.
I spent an afternoon in the Arboretum while visiting my brother at University and couldn't help but visit the chinese zen garden that lies right in the center. This place really is what relaxation is all about. A visit to the Arbotretum is totally free, which makes for a great afternoon outside. Perfect for a family picnic, a long walk, bike ride, or just to view the amazing artwork. Take advantage of the numerous programs they have to offer from gardening to agriculture. The Arboretum also boasts a live theatre company. I highly recommend a visit while in Guelph. Attached are a few photographs I took while in the Arboretum.
