I got my shoulder done at this place just yesterday and I love it!! I've just moved into the neighborhood and was stoked this was here. The artist there did exactly like the drawing I brought in. The color was just right :)Super fast and not too expensive! & great decor..I'll be back for sure. :)
If you're thinking that this is going to be another dirty Queen West rock bar with sticky floors, think again. Tattoo Rock Parlour is a cool new club on Queen that combines several different factors to attract all kinds of crowds.
First off, as the name implies, the music being played is Rock music. This includes Classic Rock, Alternative, Punk and others. There is a dance floor and a small stage area. During the week this stage is occupied by a band but on weekends there is a Rock DJ playing great music all night long. If you're lucky you might be graced with some serious air guitar solos on a Friday or Saturday night. There are two floors in the bar but, when I was there, the basement was fairly empty.
There is no dress code and people were wearing everything from ripped jeans and t-shirts that showed off tattoos to dress shirts and blazers. The crowd is fairly mixed from people with piercings and tattoos to a cleaner cut crowd but everyone is there to dance to great music. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
There are booths and tables all around the top floor which I guess make up the dining area. Downstairs is more of a lounge with the same music being played and another bar area. Check out the pictures for a better idea of what the place looks like. The one bad thing that I noticed was that the bar area was very small. I was, however, served quickly and the bartender was very pleasant and easy to deal with. I found the bouncers very pleasant as well which is often not the case at most clubs.
As per the name, there is also an actual tattoo parlour in the bar where you can get inked or pierced but try making that decision BEFORE you hit the bar, not after.
