I have two miniature poodles and I have tried so many places to have them groomed! I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to my dogs(including what I feed them and which shampoos I use). I have tried at least six pet grooming salons in the Markham area, and I believe this is probably your best bet. The place is tucked away in a fairly large plaza in Richmond Hill, but its easy to find once your in the area.
I'm not sure if the lady at the counter is the groomer, but she definitely knows what she's doing. She's not like many of the other groomers I've met who have unprofessionally handled my dogs at the other salons. She properly carried both my poodles to the crates. I had one groomer in a previous salon, drag my dogs by the leash, almost killing them!
Well I got them back a few hours later, and I was amazed at their transformations. Everything from head to paw was well groomed and they even tied really cute bows on their ears. I have never had such great service. The lady at the counter is also very personable and understands your pet care needs, so you will have no trouble explaining anything with her.
I hope this helps.

Pet Grooming Studio was the first place I brought my puppy for a full grooming and I was very nervous! I had found it online and thought it sounded good but when I brought my dog there, the atmosphere made me hesitant to leave her there. When you open the door, there is just a counter with a bell. You ring the bell and the groomer comes out, asks how long you want the fur, and takes your dog into a back room that you cannot see into but only hear cries of other dogs. When I came to pick up my dog, I asked how she was and the groomer said, "she was very fussy" and then she rolled her eyes. Quite rude. Then she gave me back my dog, who no longer looked like the adorable puppy that I had dropped off, but like an ugly, old dog. Also, her fur was all choppy and did not look very clean cut. Never again will I bring my dog back there!!
