Clarkson Comfort Zone

If you need replacement filters and you can't get it anywhere else then by all means get from Clarkson Comfort Zone. But absolutely stay away from them if you need services or installation for your furnace. Their technicians / subcontractors are either incompetent, unqualified, or both.

In earlier Sep. my furnace failed to run and gave a fault code 61. This guy from Clarkson came in, the first thing he asked for was the manual - not a very assuring sign. He fumbled for about and hour and concluded the IFC board went bad and needed replacement. I asked him out of curiosity whether it would be the blower motor because that was what code 61 indicated. He answered affirmatively that it was the IFC because it didn't provide any voltage to his meter. So I shelled out over a thousand bucks for a new IFC board and labour.

Sure enough, after he came back and took and hour or so to install the new IFC, the same fault code appeared. By that time, he started to disassemble the unit and found that the motor module was short. They then sent another quote of another thousand dollars for a motor / module unit. Any sane person would become suspicious at that point and I eventually refused to have the guy back.

It turns out the shorting of a fail-safe device in the motor module called thermistor is a pretty common event (one just needs to do a easy Google search). I found another way to fix the motor module and my furnace was back in business. After a couple of days, I intended to test if my original suspicion was warranted. I put back my old (allegedly faulty) IFC board, and viola! It worked like a charm; and has been working since.

I called Clarkson on Sep. 16th and Georgina Myburg received my call. I mentioned 3 things to her: 1) I would not require any further service from them, 2) I have not received any receipt that they promised for the transactions they put through my credit card, 3) whether they would take back the IFC they put in through misdiagnosis. Georgina said she would check with the manger and promised to call me back thereafter.

To this day, I have not heard from them. And I am still going through dispute resolution with my credit card bank to get my money back.

It's OK if your technicians bungle once in a while, but the ethics this company displays is downright dishonest.

I moved last year to Edmonton, but still have 2 rental units in Mississauga.
I had a hard time finding a good heating company to do our furnace maintenance in Mississauga.
We found Clarkson Comfort Zone, to be easy to deal with while living in another province.

My furnace failed. I called Filters St .Catherines, Ontario. Georgina was extremely helpful with locating the part I needed. Caroline, was not only providing service above and beyond but due to my having to drive for nearly 1 1/2 hours to get the part. The businesses hours were nearly done for the day, but Caroline arranged to meet me at the store so I could get what I needed and restore heat for my family that night. Clarkson comfort zone heating, yes very happy.

I decided to call them for a needed heating repair of my gas furnace.
They came to my house within 10 minutes.
They did the repair and replaced my filters.
Very happy with this heating and air conditioning company.

This is the greatest service I have ever gotten from a company like this. They are very efficient, have great customer service, and they make sure everything works before they leave. I will continue to use this company in the future.

This was week four since I was promised by Alan to fix leak in A/C . After all stories that he keep telling me I decided to give up. He was aware of my situation from the beginning . I have old person leave in my house . However it did not stop him to make one excuse after another. Either he does not have leak stopper available or he has to leave urgently town.Today was another one from him. Last week we agreed again that he is coming this Monday afternoon. His excuse to cancel appointment this time I was not fast enough to text him back .This is how this guy can turn things around. My fault now not his. Previously I had him for other repairs and service was okay so far. Not any more. This guy providing disrespectful way of dealing with people. Beware of it .

Very happy with the fast heating service we received from the Clarkson comfort zone heating and air conditioning company.
Our gas furnace was not putting out enough heat through the vents so we called this heating contractor.
They found that the motor was not working properly.
The motor stopped turning and the furnace limit would shut down the gas furnace off on safety.
They returned less than an hour and had our heat working and we were comfy.

Thanks to Clarkson Comfort Zone heating and Air conditioning for the great furnace repair and heating service on our old lennox furnace.
We knew it was time to replace this heating system, but the money was not in the budget.
They had a payment plan that worked out just perfect for us.

I selected Clarkson Comfort Zone based on recommendations from their website. Don't believe it. The service has been awful!!

Based on recommendation from sales people from Clarkson Comfort Zone, I purchased an American Standard 14 Seer Central Air Conditioner in 2007 for $3,500. In 2009 I paid $300 for topping up the Refridgerant; In 2010 I paid another $400 for service & Refridgerant, and now in 2013 it needs another service - so I called another company not trusting Clarkson. They told me there was a leak in the coil and it needed replacing. They also said, Clarkson should have recongnized the following season that there was a leak in the line, and advise me to test for a leak and repair/replace the faulty part while the unit was under warranty.

When I called Clarkson Comfort Zone (July 2013) - it came as no surprise when Georgina informed me that Clarkson stopped selling American Standard. She told me to get the company that examined the unit to do the work.

Don't use Clarkson Comfort Zone - they should have told me in the first season following installation - that there was a leak and given me the recommendation to replace the coil (which is under warranty) - instead of billing me each season. This is a highly disappointing company to deal with.

Thanks to this great heating contractor in Mississauga we have no more heating problems.
We had our gas shut off because of furnace problems.
They helped remove red tag from furnace and did the heating repairs we needed.

Great service. worth the price

On the hottest day in our Oakville home, our air conditioner just could not cool our house.
Our neighbor was having their central air system check out by this Mississauga comany so we asked them to come over when they were done to troubleshoot our cooling system for us.

They found the problem within minutes.
I had no idea a thermostats dead battery could stop our AC from working.
I was told the batteries have to be strong enough to close the contactor in the thermostat, to my dismay after changing the batteries the air conditiner started to work.

My Motto, change your batteries yearly.

As disorganized as you claim we you think we are, our files do not show any customers of this name (Sangit)., calling 3 times or even once. We monitor all calls and no Sanjit.
Is there a chance you may have used another name? Like an alias ( BoB, Sue, Joe Etc.?

On hot days we sometimes recieve more than 100 calls for service and repair in in the Mississauga areas, re:Oakville, Milton, Clarkson Etobicoke etc.
Responding to this many ac service calls can be overwhelming at times. All calls are monitered as i said and your name does not appear, (anywhere).
Do i believe that you called 3 times, absolutely not.

I dont see where you say you used our services and had our service people there, yet you slam our service techs by saying our positive reviews may be related to an easy fix or simple service. It also says you would not recommend us.
How can you say this as we did not come to your place.

I'm suprise on the feedback and reviews for Clarkson comfort zone as it doesn't reflect my experience. I called them 3x and they appear to be disorganized and not professional. I'm sure these positive review related to perhaps easy fixed/simply service because anything beyond that I woudn't recommend them. When it comes to a/c units, pay more & get servicing done right...dont' go with them. If a/c repair/service isn't done right...it has huge implications...therefore..I don't recommend them for A/C service

I recently was having a problem with my air conditioning in my home and was recommended to the services of Clarkson Comfort Zone. The 2 gentleman that came to my home were very friendly and informative for my benefit, and completed the job in a prompt manner. When they showed me the finished job it was excellent to see that they had even cleaned up everything. Their pricing was very reasonable and now my air system works better than it ever has!

Finally found a filter stores in Mississauga thanks to (Google.c).
Hard to find M1-1056 filters. They also have a large selection of furnace parts, motors, furnace ignitors and exhaust fans for furnaces. Found a fasco inducer motor there.

They arrived on time as they promished and had our air conditioner fixed in about an hour.
The fan motor capacitor was not working and they had one in there truck. For furnace repair or cleaning i will call this company again.

Last month, my daughter in Etobicoke called me and mentioned that her air conditioner was not working. With the temperatures we were experiencing at the time, I became very concerned.

My wife and I had Clarkson Comfort Zone repair our furnace last February at our home in Mississauga, and were very pleased with their fast, professional service and their fair, affordable prices. We knew they also did A/C repair, so we decided to give them a call.

The woman who answered the phone was very courteous and scheduled an appointment for a service to come over to diagnose the problem.

The service technician was very professional and had extensive knowledge of the unit. We were very impressed.

As it turned out, my daughter had not cleaned her air conditioning filters in over two years. Not only were they severely clogged, but the condenser fins were stopped as well because of all the dust and debris.

Clarkson Comfort Zone was very quick to clean the fins, repair the motor, and replace the filters. We will definitely be calling them again next for any further problems our family comes across and would recommend them to all our friends. Urgently needed a replacement furnace heater/igniter for my v.old Rheem furnace. A rare item and hard to find. Called Clarkson Comfort Zone and was told they would guarantee to have one in stock. Not only did they have one they confirmed the furnace problem and I got the igniter at a much reduced price (even if only due to the furnace being a museum piece).
Its always good to know reliable, honest and able services.
