I don't know how the folks on board deal with everything they do and I for one thank them for everything including being there to save my life if needed. After all, they are there for our safety first!
On my most recent flight with SkyService a man proposed to his girlfriend right before the plane landed!!
We checked out early on Friday, January 23rd and had to check in our luggage again and clear customs. After a 9 hour wait at the airport Skyservice once again Skyservice cancelled our flight. That day Continental and Westjet did fly from the same airport. After 9 hours of hell we had to reclaim our luggage and were once again bused to another resort.
We spent the night at this resort and had to be out of our rooms by noon on Saturday, January 24th but our schedule flight was not to leave until Sunday morning at 3:30am. After checking in our luggage at the airport for the 3rd time we were finally flown home on a Air Transat plane. We were told by the Air Transat rep that they had come to get us on a rescue mission. That the stewardess were volunteers and that the plane had flown down empty to get us.
Where was Skyservice during all this we still have no answers. Some say they went bankrupt, some say they have no automatic pilot or radar system to land in bad weather. What ever the case I encourage you to take another airline other than Skyservice. I for one will never use them again. I was told by the rep from Air Transat also that Skyservice is owned by Thomas Cook Travel something else I didn't know.
Don't end your holiday like I did. Beware!!
I haven't seen an aircraft like this since about 1986, it's so outdated, the seats are torn, there are even ashtrays in the arms of the seats. I'm only 4'11 and I had zero leg room. There isn't even room to walk down the isle it's so tight! The Aircraft was FILTHY! There was chips on my seat from the previous flyer, jam on my pull down table.. It was just NASTY!
The flight service was a nightmare, the staff had big attitude & was extreamly rude. When my husband asked for more coke they didn't have any more, we didn't even get water! The food they give you is a surprise to this day I don't know what they served it was some kind of old cold egg burrito. We got cookies and we were not allowed anymore! When we finally made it to cancun we were so cramped up and excited to get off the plane..
When we were leaving to come back home, we waited 3 hours in line just for somebody from Skyservice to show up to check us in, most couples were seperated on the flight.
We get back onto the very small, smelly dirty plane and are told by the Pilot that the plane is having Engine failure Omg I freaked I wanted off so bad. We were all stuck on the plain for two hours, no water was offered, there was no air, it was sooooooooooooooo hot, we were givin nothing!
I WILL NEVER FLY SKY SERVICE AGAIN! If another Airline wont offer a flight I wont go Id rather stay home!
