Well after reading the last two reviews I am thrilled to give my review which is a positive one. First time shopper at Best Buy EVER From the minute I entered the store until I purchased my first big screen tv from sales rep AKTAN it was all good. AKTAN took the time and patience to educate two seniors all about tv's. He was so knowledgable and took so much time explaining to us so after a looking at various tvs and comparing prices etc I ended up spending 2000 on a Sony tv and all because of AKTAN. There should be more people like this guy around Thank you BEST BUY AND AKTAN I WILL B BACK.
I had quite the experience with the "squad" they should not call themselves geeks. Geeks are smart to gifted people. The 2 that came toy home for a simple fixture were just trying to learn on the job. They were clueless and were unable to provide education as they themselves didn't know. They were unprofessional, kept gossiping among themselves and finally didn't do the job!!! I never got the 100 dollar education credit back. But of course, why would they? That shows failure on their parts. No apology either! Really! I guess Canadians are no longer "nice" no retail stores etc have ever apologized for their mistakes. That's why I always shop in the USA.
Find someone you know to do the installs, and avoid them. After 4 trips to the store, I am still completing the initial install. Messages such as critical update, please install to avoid system malfunction - those kind of messages you don't expect. Or 27 updates necessary to be installed, 2 optional. Again, after 4 visits to the store and a discussion with the store manager. Forget customer service from Best Buy. Lucky if you even hear "sorry".
