I purchased a brand new HP530 to find out 3 days after purchase that the hard drive had to be replaced. i have been waiting 9 weeks for a replacment, i now believe is never coming.
i have call technical support, status, Nancy at head office, none had answers.
I have been ripped off and am esculating this matter legally.

I purchased an ipaq HP 6955 back in Nov 06. My first choice was Motorola Q for ergonomic reasons, but Rogers did not support Q back then. It failed on me in July 07 and had it shipped for service to HP. I had to keep calling HP to get a status on my product. They kept saying it should be returned to me by the end of the week.

This went on for three weeks then I finally demanded a tracking # as a proof that the product is in transit as they stated. No one seems to have a tracking #.

I contact the Critical Customer Service to place a complaint which was promised by their answering recording that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. That too was an empty promise.

I demanded that I get my money back and got a message that they are in process of issuing me a refund cheque.
I come back from vacation a week later and I package with my new product had been recieved.

I'm dependent on my PDA and have since let it slide (I have better things to do than chase these b***s**ters) , but I sent an email to CEO of my experienced with their customer relation dept and told him that I'm gonna pass the word around to let them know of my experience and told him that once all my current HP equipment fail or due for replacement, I will replace them with anything but HP.

Someone from his office got back to me to say that hey have been forwarded to the appropriate people within Hewlett-Packard for review and action, as needed.......yeahhhh right....what ever!!!!!

After taking to some people, I found out that HP distributers would rather have their own guys fix the products rather than send it to HP for this reason, unfortunate for me, I purchased it from HP directly online.
