A little lady walks into a dealership complaining about a teeny little scratch on her recently purchased, second hand, SUV.
The scratch from the shops perspective is so small it would be less than $300 to fix.
They insist that she MUST pay for this repair, or go elsewhere.
She is going elsewhere and taking here money with her. She paid cash for this unit which was over $30,000 and I am sure will eventually buy another one, but not from them.
With something so minute, wouldn't it make more sense to ensure the customer is happy and returns to make another $30,000 cash purchase?
Customer service, and how it relates too sales, is what is bringing the auto industry down, not just unions.
