The service (or lack thereof) I got today was awful. I was looking for a particular item that I KNOW they have and when I asked for help in locating it, I kept getting pushed off onto someone else... eventually I couldn't find a worker to help me, so I got frustrated and left the store empty handed. Why do you have people working there if you they are not going to help people? Screw you Urban Outfitters
This is a great shop, right across from the Eaton Centre, where you can buy funky gifts... rather than the main stream crap from the mall. Whether it's a book on the Kama Sutra, a pink Lomo camera, or a USB memory stick shaped like a piece of sushi, you can get it all. (Oh yeah, and they have lots of clothes for your bohemian-styled pals too!)
I love this store. They have young looking clothes that look good on everyone and come in enough sizes so they even fit us not so young people. And the variety is amazing, as are the sales. I found a gorgeous pair of real suede boots for $20.00 so I bought 2 pair.
It's also a fun place. All the staff are great and really try to be helpful.
The problem is that when they are busy, they are really busy and there are lineups for the dressing rooms and the cashiers although the lines move pretty quickly and they do try to add more cashiers when necessary.
I went to Urban Outfitters in Buffalo and I must tell you, this store is way better.

I do like this chain. They have prices that are really reasonable & I love the styles they carry. Only con for me is we don't have an outlet here. :)
Really....I thought it was a great store (there in Jan./2007 after a business trip). I must have "lucked out". Didn't find any "fabulous bargains" (actually I got the bargain of a lifetime up the street at Illicit). The Gay salesguy was drop dead gorgeous. They do have fantastic trendy clothes. Loved the stuff. Generally don't carry my size. Music was awesome. I actually got a recommendation & business card from the HOT gay guy. I've been listening to this Chicago underground stuff since.
I love to go to Urban Outfitters on Saturday afternoon. It is chalk full of hipsters and Z list Canadian celebs. (Guests of "The Hills -Aftershow" and Much VJ Sarah Taylor)
People watching, and style hunting is at its best on Saturdays- as all of Toronto's cool kids head over to UO to decide which Queen west west west haunt is the "it" venue for Saturday evening dancing, drinking, and snorting.
C U there next sat!

I luv this store too. My only regret is we don't have an outlet here where I live!
I've never been to this store before. Maybe I should go...
