These other reviews aren\'t an exaggeration. In fact, they\'re somewhat kind in comparison to what I want to say. Service sucks and so does the wine. Their \'wine\' tastes like someone filled a used wine bottle with water. I\'ve had red wine vinegar that tasted more like wine than this stuff does. Whomever said they wished they could give it negative stars and ratings - heck yeah! There\'s a government liquor store a few steps down robson, so do yourself a favour and go there instead. Buy yourself a nice bottle of BC VQA; there\'s no way this swill will ever be up to those standards. Doesn\'t wine have to taste like wine in order to qualify?

There should be a zero or negative star rating since I can't even in good faith give half a star for this store, its product or its rude manager. The experiences of previous commenters echoes my own. I also made a BBB complaint and called the health inspector since I am convinced that this is home-made wine. The lack of any government labeling or ingredients, plus the suspicious looking website for "Divino Estate Winery" point to a scam. Not to mention the disgusting liquid that the Manager dares to call wine contained in those bottles! DO NOT give this place your money.

I can't even give it a rating it was so bad. The previous reviewer described pretty much exactly happened to us. We bought a bottle. It was undrinkable; whether or not it was old or just poor quality, I don't know. We brought it back to the store, explained why we were bringing it back, and waited for the manager to contact us. Five days later he called; said the wine tasted fine and we weren't getting a refund or new bottle. I was dissatisfied with the manager's callous attitude, so I called on my own twice; again, five days AFTER the initial call, I got a return call from the manager. He told me the same thing: the wine tasted fine, and, as a wine drinker, I should know that taste is individual. "Exactly", I said, "so it tasted off to me and tasted corked, so we should get a refund or new bottle." He then said he wasn't in business to 'give' away 'free' product, but we were more than welcome to come and pick up the bottle of wine we'd left there (the original, undrinkable bottle)...nearly two weeks after we'd brought it back to the store. I then asked for the owner's name and number: he arrogantly proceeded to give me the store's number and his own name. He's obviously sending a message: that he's the be-all, end-all when it comes to any kind of resolution.

Here's my message: don't shop here. The wine's terrible, and the service is bad, if not non-existent.

Part two of my message is that I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I have to agree with the previous review - a friend bought 4 different wines from this store for a Christmas party, thinking that buying BC, local and organic should be good - they were undrinkable. I returned the 3/4 full bottles for them as my friends were unable to, and experienced first hand the complete lack of will to give any recompense to a set of very dissatisfied customers: no apology, much suspicion (the attitude of the staff was one of disbelief and the unspoken conviction that I'd obviously returned four bottles of 3/4 full red wine to the store through snow and ice because I wanted to get away with something), and a general disinclination to do anything other than offer the remnants to management for tasting. I was told that there were definitely no refunds and the most I could hope for was another bottle of the same wine, to which I answered that if it tasted better than the last, that would be fine... Way to go Divino! Here's at least 10 non-return customers.
