Newmar Window Manufacturing

My casement windows locking mechanism has a plastic slider which broke on at least 5 windows.. and I cannot locate this parts in the hardware store... I will try contacting them directly to see if they have a solution maybe other than plastic like aluminum or other... I can't believe that something that works so hard would be plastic?... maybe this was an intended flaw to get us to replace windows... I bought new house form Paradise Homes in Lakelands Village, Brampton 410& Bovaird Dr. W.

As the title suggests, Newmar Windows installed our windows and the locking mechanism wasn't working, so the window would close properly and seal (in the winter...).
Someone from Newmar chose the time for the service repair - a 3 HOUR time frame. I even foolishly waited an extra hour just in case they were running late. Nobody showed....
Even worse, nobody called or otherwise acknowledged the situation.
I called towards the end of the next day to let them know and got Eileen, who was extremely unapologetic and defensive ("Well what do you want me to do about it?" etc) after politely explaining the situation. Hard to imagine you would even have to explain what the problem is with that situation and that it's generally disrespectful of someone's time to leave them wait without any communication.
Luckily we had a repair man from a completely different vendor in the next morning to do something completely different. He said he knew those windows and ended up fixing them for us!
Good to know there are good people out there to help where the actual vendor skips out on their responsibilities to the client.
Newmar Windows has something to learn about customer service - in fact...I think they could start right at the very beginning....
