Renascent helped me save my life. The staff were professional, empathetic, compassionate and patient with me as I dealt with many issues during my stay.

Unfortunately when we aren't successful in staying sober, we blame others, please ignore previous reviews as thousands of people have been able to get sober and stay sober because of this fabulous organization.

Thank you Renascent!

Renascent was day camp to my alcoholic husband. He was subjected to people sicker than him, basically it was a joke, OHIP paid for his stay, $8,500. he was sober five weeks and in the end, he died, drank himself to death.

I didn't go through treatment, but I worked there. From that experience I can second that Renascent does not practise what it preaches in all areas. From staff level up to board level, I have never experienced such a toxic work environment with so much conflict and negativity underneath the smiles. I can only conclude that many of the people who have gone through treatment there (which includes many staff and board members) are totally messed up people that cannot manage their own lives. Do not consider working there: it is a toxic place.

It's an old school AA recovery facility. In today's world most are suffering from a crack or opioid addiction. This facility does not help with these types of addiction. They say the concept is the same but it really isn't . They also have a reputation taking advantage of weak patients. I know of a counsellor from there who poses as helping people. He's really seeing who can be taken advantage of. Some of the counselors need more help than the patients. Really sad. People are seeking to get well when they are really being preyed upon at a time of weakness.

Achieving sobriety is extremely difficult. One of the most difficult challenges you'll ever face. There is counsellors who preach sobriety and they cant get sober themselves, or manage their own lives. One of their counsellors ripped of one of the patients for A lot of money. Sickening. They should be shut down. Spare yourself. Trust me

Renascent has saved me from the destruction of my addiction. I implement the lessons that I learned from the counsellors each and everyday, so that I can stay alive. Instead of trying to outsmart my recovery process, I am using all of the tools that they provided me with to fight against my addiction instead. The staff is amazing and my experience was obviously life-changing because I let them help me help myself.

This facility does not do much to treat drug issues as they are only AA based and you have a maximum 4 hours per day in group. Not very professional either as many of us saw people in seizures from withdrawal as they do not test urine on admission.
