Terrible money grabbing place, they don't care for your pets they care about how much money lines your pockets. No personality, you could go there for years and it wouldn't make a difference they won't remember you or your pets and then add a fee for that because it's your fault. Honestly this place could be so much better but I suppose it's not in there (financially) best interest

Stay away!!!! These folks could care less about your pet! What they care about is your visa number!
We spent approximately 5000 dollars on a surgery to ATTEMPT to fix our dogs leg. The surgeon (who you never get to meet) was very good at explaining things on the phone. That was the only positive thing about this!
After surgery they hand you a pamphlet and some meds , and send you on your way. “Call us if there are any issues” no follow up calls or anything.
So, the dog has issues 3 weeks later and can’t walk on his leg again. Something is obviously wrong. So obviously we call. We get a rude, could care less person who answers the phone. I explain the situation and we get told “ yeah, we act like a human hospital and triage our clients, you are more than welcome to wait out in the parking lot for a while” I then explain that I live an hour away and that it was their surgery that has went wrong”
Again they could care less. I eventually said I would take him somewhere else.
My response was ok and she hangs up on me!!
Once they have your money, they are happy! They could care less about your pet.
Think twice before using this vet!!

My pet dog Toby got really sick and I had no choice but to take him in on Sunday afternoon to have him looked at. The young lady vet asked to perform blood work which was $320. Based on the tests she explained that Toby needed a blood transfusion at the cost of between 3-7K as his red blood cells as well as platelets were very low. Next option was a strong prescription of of steroids which I agreed to. My beloved pal Toby did not have a good night and was getting worse by Monday, he could not get up or even raise his head. I had to make a decision to put him to sleep when I brought him back on Monday afternoon. The receptionist was more concerned about getting the money first for the euthanasia, as I'm holding Toby trying to fill more paperwork. Please...Please. stay away from this place if you want what is best for your beloved pet. I spent just shy of $1000, and really didn't get an answer to his quick decline in health. They play on your emotions and they know that you will pay!

Great place super compassionate. Been going for years with a few diff pets. Recently our 20 year old cat got very ill while we were away. She was rushed to O'Sullivan's and cared for like a princess til we could get home the next day to say good bye. The knowledge Trish has is second to none and the staff and she are all super caring and compassionate people, treating each animal as if it were their own. I would highly recommend taking your loved animal there. Remember that all businesses will have mishaps from time to time. No where in this world is it perfect, but O'sullivan's is the closest in expertise and compassion for your treasured pet.

Why did it had to be a Sunday ? When our little Pomeranian dog called LIZY got so sick we had no choice but to take her to O'Sullivan A. H. since our vet is not 24/7 hrs.
A young lady who came to examine Lizy than asked if they could take some X-Ray.
After the X-ray when Lizy was returned to us the same young lady (maybe she was a vet) came back and explained that Lizy had an enlarged heart, high blood pressure and her little body retained fluid.
At this time I was advised to consider that she should have an ultrasound in the hopes of a more precise prognosis.
In fact she said she will have to consult with another vet about a dime sized white ball on her left side which we clearly saw on the image.
I said I would like to start her on some medicine first and if her condition doesn't change for the better then subject her to more tests, including taking blood.
Thinking that after getting some medicine for her because she has been vomiting I was going to take her home. When she left to get her pills my Lizy started to vomit blood. My friend who was with me called her back to the examining room to take a look at my dog.
At that time we were informed that Lizy's condition has turned critical and we should consider leaving her in the hospital. We left her there reluctantly after paying the 700 dollar deposit which we were asked to pay.
About an hour later we were called at home that Lizy's condition turned for the worse and wanted us back in the hospital. This time my husband & I went back to the hospital where we were told that Lizy's kidney has stopped working and she could not stand up.
Upon viewing her we had to make a quick decision about having her put to sleep, although were tempted to have her treated in the hopes of reviving her.
We went to see her again through pools of tears filled eyes. When we called her name she barely moved her little head and dropped it right back on the towel.
We had made our most painful decision and said good bye to her although she had her head turned towards the wall of the crate.
We were escorted into a waiting room where I was given another bill for 637 dollars.
After leaving the hospital both my husband & I were crying our eyes out. Half way driving back home my phone rang. It was the hospital after saying how sorry they were but forgot to charge us for the euthanasia of our little dog. I gave my visa # to pay the 235 dollars when the lady that called told me we were going to be credited for the 700 dollars which I had to pay as a deposit.
The next day I was paying some bills online & happened to look through my visa bill I noted that we were charged 1336.80 plus 235 dollars.
I called the hospital and upon speaking to a young lady was told that she would have to consult with her manager and have her call me.
The next day the managers call came and I was told that there is no refund because it is part of the total bill.
At this time I couldn't help myself & said that now I know I have been in the wrong line of business.
She didn't say anything about when did the euthanasia took place & I was too dumbstruck to ask.
She then told me that I was charged everything according to their price list. After a long moment I did say that I found their billing to be outrageous. She the (manager) then went on to say how sorry She, was when I said "I am sure you are" & promptly hung up on me!
I am being fairly informed about veterinarian clinic's prices but I could not understand being charged 1586.58 dollars for the mere 4 hours that my beloved pet has been taking up their crate & time.
Grossly overcharged! I could not recommend O'Sullivan Animal Hospital to any pet owners!

Recently our 13 year old Shih Tzu got very sick...after getting no where with our regular vet we decided we wanted a second opinion because we didn't want to just give up..we had to at least try. So we took him to O'Sullivans for a second opinion. ..the Dr there confirmed our worse fears....our little boy had chronic kidney disease and was dying. ..she did not try to push treatment on us just to grab money...she gave us the option of trying some IV meds but there would be no guarantee...she was honest with us and didn't give us false hope. So we faced the heartbreaking decision to return the next evening to lay him to rest. They let us pay in advance so when we said u our good bye we could just leave. 7 pm on May 31 we took our little boy back in to say our finale good byes. The staff were so understanding and kind...they didn't rush us. .they told us to stay in the room for as long as we needed. They had a big fuzzy blanket on the vet table...soft lighting and soft playing music..they made it as comfortable as possible and it didn't feel like a vet office. They answered all our questions...explained everything they were doing and took their time. We had a private cremation so when Diezel was back at the office we went and picked up his little urn. But a few days prior to that they called us to ask how we were doing. To me that shows compassion...respect and a caring bunch of people. They sent us a condolence card. They understood the pain and grief we were feeling ..they showed they cared. Thank you O'Sullivan team. ..u guys r awesome. Thx for caring so much.

I just left and I would have to say that everyone's poor reviews are NOT true. They were not money hungry and they were caring towards my dog. I would most certainly bring her back. They even cut her nails for us for free. And all the staff was very friendly. Great animal hospital :)

my rating out of 5 stars -5 out of 5. I have been going to O'Sulliven for over 10yrs and my mother before that. I have even adopted a cat from them. Every time I go there it feels like a money grab, while the staff are always nice they are always very misleading on their prices. Point and fact, I have two 8yr old cats both in good heath and it was time for their next checkup, so I decided to call Mclean mobile vet services for a price to drop by my house and do a checkup, which is less stressful on everybody. Their price was 99.44 tax in for 1 cat and a possible discount for both. So then I called O'Sulliven to see what they could do for me, being their customer and they don't have a mobile unit, but they will make house calls, so I asked for a price, and within 2 hours, I received three phone calls, from 3 different staff, with 3 different prices, and they were $105.00, next was $135.00, and then the last call informed me that the other prices were mistakes, and the real price is $156.00 per cat, no discoun,t and that may not include taxes! ? Guess whos gettting my business from now on. So my advice to O'Sulliven customers is to shop around thanks bye for now Andrew Burke

I took my dog there a couple of weeks ago with two large holes in his skin. Great vet named Carol cleaned him up and prescribed him meds to fix him up. 13 days later when the hole is infected yet again I go back after beiung told on the phone its all taken care of since hadn't been two weeks since visis. Upon arrival I see the most rudest and inexperienced VET named HOFFMAN and told that after a few more hundred dollars all will be fixed!! I lost it walked out and still three days later the useless owners who I left messages for "Trish" cant be bothered to call me back!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Innisfil animal clinic!!!!

I brought my cat there to be seen about a skin problem. I had to wait forever for the vet to come in, then a long time again for the price list, and then a long time again for him to get a needle. If they were that busy, then why offer me an appointment? After I decided to go the medication only route (as opposed to the tests and medications which seemed ridiculously expensive) I asked if the vet or a vet tech could come back in and clean his face and apply antiseptic to his wounds. I was told that this would cost an extra $30.00. They also didn't give him the first dose of his medications. Any other vet I have ever been to will come back in after a course of treatment is decided to give the first dose of meds and give information about the medications. Apparently they were too busy or couldn't be bothered. Very poor customer service....and I know exactly why...because they only care about making money.

We are sorry if you had to wait to see the Dr. We do triage every emergency that may come in, this or a very sick patient receiving treatment in the hospital can cause us to go off schedule. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Unfortunately there is a cost to diagnostics and wound care. We as veterinarians only have the pets best interest in mind when we recommend testing or treatments. As our hospital policy we do not give oral medications during the appointment as many pets will vomit in the car on the way home. Our front end staff will go over any medications with every client. I do apologize to you if this was not done.
Please feel free to contact O'Sullivan Animal Hospital with any questions or concerns you may have.

Greatest clinic I have ever been too. The kindest staff, smartest vets and greatest hours. Was truly impressed. Had an emergency, they fixed it. Could not believe the compassion and caring with this staff. From the front desk to all the doctors involved in our case. They truly are angels for our pets. Didn't reallize there were vets that cared this much.
Bring your pet here!!!

AWESOME! This is BY FAR THE BEST VET CLINIC in all of Barrie, and probably Ontario. I have to move around quite often for work, and therefore, need to change clinics fairly often. However, when I can, I will go out of my way to come here. 'Dr Trish' clearly loves cats, and is very different than most vets in how she deals with them, and yet, still is also amazing with my dogs. My cousin is a vet, so I know 'first hand' (maybe second hand!!!) that NO vet got into this for the money. The average teacher is paid significantly more than the average vet. Most people, especially in Canada, where we have NO IDEA the actual cost of medicine, do not realize this. The vets in this clinic obviously have the best interest of my pets at heart (it is very clear from the moment you walk into the clinic). They give me recommendations that are the best for my pet, but at the same time support me and my personal situation, and give me other options when I can't afford to do 'everything'. (I have 3 kids and sometimes need to put their needs first). They have NEVER MADE ME FEAL GUILTY when I just cannot afford everything. I highly recommend this clinic. They know what they are doing and don't 'cut corners' when it could make the difference of losing your pet or getting them through their illness. DON"T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

We recently had to take our dog to O'Sullivan Animal Hospital for a leg injury. He ended up having to have a cruciate repair. All staff have been excellent in taking care of Ollie right from the initial exam with Dr. Duff and to the surgery with Dr. Pilon. Dr. Pilon took time to speak to us before making a decision about which surgery to do and called before the surgery. They even sent all the details to our regular vet with out us even having to ask. They have been great following up with us on how he is doing and answering any question we have had.

Thanks to all the staff at O'Sullivan Animal Hopital

Just had an absolutely FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE at this clinic AGAIN! Everytime I go there, the staff are wonderful. Friendly, careing and competent. I have been going there for just over 10 years and wanted to (finally) write a review about this place.
THESE PEOPLE CARE!!! They take the time to explain everything. I get it that no one likes emergency vet visits, but this place is the best to go in Barrie.
They followed up on my sick pet for days after the visit.
I like Dr. O'Sullivan the best, as she really seems to know her cats. My cat has never been that comfortable with anyone.

Thanks again to a truly great team!!

I just want everyone to know that this is the BEST VET in Barrie!!!! They totally care and have a great facility. My dog needed a blood transfusion and they did it at half the price as Toronto vets. Prices were fair, I get it that they have to run a business, to be around for years to come. They quoted me everything before they did anything. I had a say in the decisions. I thought the whole staff was friendly and knowledgable. Recommend them for sure!!!!

My husband & I are from out of town. We had an emergency with our pet and this clinic saved her life. They're always open and the placed was so clean. The doctor on durty was friendly, compassionate & smart! We could visit our pet anytime and the entire staff showed such empathy & compasion. I was so impressed with this clinic!! I've never been to an animal hospital like this, where everyone cares so much. Our vet bill was very reasonable (despite being an emergency) and they quoted us for everything first. The vet explained all recommended tests and procedures and we had the final say in all treatments. It just felt like everyone was working with us.
No one every wants to be away from home and have an animal emergency, but if you have to go somewhere, this is definately the place.
I can't say enough about this place. I was shocked to find out that they never close. I knew my pet was geting round the clock care.
Thanks to the great gang at O'Sullivan Animal HOspital! Keep up the great work!

I had an emergency with my dog & my regular vet (of 15 years)refused to see me. O'Sullivan's got me in right away & fixed my dog. They were the only ones open in the middle of the night that didn't charge me an arm & a leg. THey are fair, friendly and extremely well priced. Most of all, the vet (Trish) was so concerned about my dog. Needless to say, I have switched to this clinic.

This place is out to get you! They by far have the worst customer service I have ever seen. They take advantage of you are not ethical with their business. I have been taking my cat and dig there and can not wait to transfer my files elsewhere.

They told me my cat needed surgery for a twisted bowl. Quoted 3000 to do it. I broke down and said I would out him down. After saying out him down, 5 minutes later they say he is fine and just want to keep him over night to monitor, then hit u with a 600 dollar over night vet bill. It is crimal how they treat you.

I have spend over 3300 on my dog and cat there in the past year. I called to get advantage for them, and they wouldn't dispense it without giving them both another exam (they both had been in there within the last 6 months) and wanted another 170 dollars just to dispense advantage. It including the cost of the medication. I went online and bought the same medication for 80 dollars for both my cat and dog. Compared to the 260 it would have cost to get it there.

I have nothing good to say about this place. Do not trust them, stay away.

not a good place to deal with ,they may be good vets but their main focus is to fill their pockets, they over charge you because they figure you have no choice ,they now have your animal and your going to pay ,they seem to figure you are stupid, and they can make even a little thing a huge thing and rip you off .they need to get some customer service coarses behind them if they want to be here in the long run

I have also been going to this Animal Hospital for years. They are the best. Dr.'Trish' cares so much about her furry friends. I also know she does a ton of charity work. They are always rescuing animals. She also has a Cat Hospital.I really like the staff there, everyone is friendly. Smells great, they all seem to know their stuff. I also like that they are now open 24 hours, and don't rip you off with emerge fees. They always give me options for my pets, and go over all costs. I have never felt pressured to do anything there. I have seen Dr. Pilon (Brent) as well, and he was very good too.
All I can say, is give this clinic a try, you won't be disappointed!
