Their website says that they take new patients (top of their website) but the receptionist says that they take only healthy new patients. So in order words, you take no patients right? because why going to a vet if my pet is healthy. Ridiculous response from an rude person who should not work in a vet hospital.
When you're dealing with a sick dog that has cancer you really need more compassion.

We have been bringing our various dogs over the years, for the past twenty or so years, seeing Dr Melanie Ellison as our main doctor. She is above and beyond intelligent, caring and kind. The other doctors we have seen when we have come in when Dr Ellison was not there have been wonderful, often seeing Dr Clement and she is very warm and excellent.
My dogs love the caring staff, they are happy to come for boarding and grooming, too. (in the early 90's before we went to Carling our dogs would shake with fear at the other animal clinic.)
I am sure costs are comparative, we are very grateful for the honest caring place Carling is.

My friend has only said good things about this hospital so when my cat needed some tests done I decided to take him there. When I walked in I was instantly impressed with how spacious and clean the waiting room is. It even smelled nice which is a nice change from all the other vet clinics I have been to in the past. The receptionist was very friendly and so was the vet. During Bongo's exam the vet was answering all my questions while he worked and I liked his handling skills with my cat. Bongo needed blood work done and not only did the results come back the next day, but vet himself called to give me the results. When it came time to pay the bill I was surprised. It was A LOT less then what I was expecting to pay. During the exam the vet did tell how much the blood work would cost but Bongo also had a check up done, his anal glands expressed and I bought a bag of food so I was expecting a large bill. Needless to say I have found my cats a new vet......

Great vets, organized, VERY clean, and seems well equipped. Been coming here with my pets for years and like it. Wish every business was this customer oriented. If I have an issue, they listen and it gets fixed (fast). That works for me. The doctors I usually see are Janet Biggar or Keith Johnson, but have occasionally seen others and all were very good.

Dr. Keith Johnson is very friendly and professional. We just moved here from US and found Dr. Johnson by researching the internet. We were not disappointed. He took the time to explain the cat’s condition and answer additional questions that we had. The facilities are very well equipped, and the staff is fast and efficient. Dr. Johnson took it on himself to personally call with the results of the urinalysis. We are pleasantly impressed by the standard of care Dr. Johnson and the staff is exhibiting. If possible, I would give Dr. Johnson grade 6 on a 5 scale. Amazing job!

The staff was caring and was very nice. However, it is VERY EXPENSIVE. In the last two visits, I was paying more than I should be for my puppy's vaccinations.I was overcharged for a regular check up in which all the doctor did was count for the heart rate because the lights to the ophthalmoscope was not working. The doctor was not very informative on what he would be doing during the procedure which you may find yourself paying a large sum at the end of the visit. Also, the doctor would constantly try and talk me into doing procedures all that cost over $500 despite my puppy being healthy
