After taking my animals to Clarkson Village Animal hospital for better than 30 years I was disgusted to find out that Dr. Mudrick had sold out to a corporation. Which of course means rotating corporation veterinarians only interested in the all mighty dollar. I phoned to get a refill on my golden's ear infection medication and was told that now have to bring her in for a full physical when Dr. Mudrick had told me "just pick up the phone and call". I have no doubt that if I just walk in to get her weighed as I have done in the past I would probably get charged for it.
Bye bye Clarkson Village! As the sister of TV star and wilderness survival expert Survivorman I
do not endorse Clarkson Village Animal Hospital!

Your experience will vary depending on what vet you are dealing with. There is just one vet who should be avoided, but the rest of the crew is rather okay. I dealt with three vets over there, two were very professional, but third one was a big let down. A person who was more interested with extracting more money from me, then helping my cat. If i could give an advise, i would say this clinic can serve the purpose if you don't have other choice, but you will have to open your wallet over there. You might not be told about side effects of medication your pet is receiving, to make impression, that the condition of your pet is worsening, to convince you to pay more on your next visit. You will pay the most over there, but they will help your pet if they can.

This is my advise.. Find another hospital, This clinic and Animal Hospital Of Port Credit bad bad places.. Dr. Mann is a B and has no respect makes herself look bad, still waiting for my apparent "Release Papers" She so claimed to be sending 2 months ago.. Also Clarkson Village Animal Hospital 3 animals 2 Two within our family and 1 of a friends has all passed away... 2 this yr alone 2 months apart... The prescribed me medication that made my animal vomit blood immediately.. His Non eating regularly got worse to not eating a thing.. My fiance's company went under the owner sold it off and him and his brother were let go.. soo Bills are tight they Did half the work didn't know the entire problem prescribed medication on two different occasion that only made things worse.. I will never recommend nor return...

After fifteen years Dr Mudrick and his staff continue to to provide excellent service and care for my dog. My first dog had surgeries to repair torn ligaments when she was young. As she aged she was given all the care she needed to live a healthy life. My current dog has a gastric condition that was difficult to diagnose and treat but he's now doing great thanks to the skill and concern of all at this clinic. I trust them completely and can say honestly that I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had an amazing experience at the Clarkson Village Animal Hospital, with both the night time Emergency staff and especially the daytime team. My puppy slipped under a door and broke her leg. She was immediately assessed, stabilized, put on pain control, then Dr Mudrick arranged for a surgical specialist to come and repair Bobby's leg. It must have been a huge surgery, I saw the x-ray from after surgery, but the cost was far less than I expected. I have never seen such a caring and compassionate group of people. I can't believe that we are this lucky to have such excellent medical care for our pets, when our own doctors do not show the same degree of concern about us.

I have had the most horrific experiences in both these hospitals with staff and vets behavior.
I took my cat to Clarkson Village Animal Hospital because he was in critical condition and they have a 24hr 7 day wk. set up there. If I had the choice, I would have chosen elsewhere but sadly I did not.

My cat was in his senior years and I learned his body was shutting down. I love my cat with all my heart. As I had a bad experience with staff before they told me I had to come and pick him up or one of there staff members drive my cat to my current vet. They did not tell me what my cat's current condition was, just how much more I owed and he needed to be transferred.

Animal Hospital of Port Credit, Mississauga, ON was the hosptal I was going to. The vet there yelled at me while I was holding my cat in his blanket as he was passing away on me, telling me they will not accept him because they don't have overnight care there.
When I went to Lorne Park Animal Hospital (the best care btw), they advised that my cat's body was shutting down and he was suffering. Clarkson Village Animal Hosp. knew this and they would not care for him because 2yrs. ago a secretary made a huge mistake and I told the vet?

Dr. Mann of the Animal Hospital of Port credit would not take back the canned food my cat used to eat. I had to email Medical and tell they, they in turn called Dr. Mann and told him that it is Medical's policy to accept returns and refund the client.

I took the food back and got yelled at by both vets and their secretary and I was told to go to hell by one of the vets.

This is the cruelest behaviour anyone could do to another person never mind a someone who is supposed to be a professional. I dont' think I'm going to get over the my loss for a long time. In addition, I have to remember what these hospitals have done to me? There is much more, but I'm in shock to write further.

I hope I've helped someone out there stay away from these hospitals.

Anyone who goes to this hospital find another one now, it has to be one of worse hospitals there is. Do not go there, many people in the area have also commented negatively in conversation. I was told when my cat was literally passing away and I brought him to their emerg. not by choice but it was the closest. In the morning when staff saw him, they called me and told me to come in and take him to my vet for further care. My cat was in critically ill and dying and I came in to get him not even knowing his condition as I was in too much grieve and shock by their behaviour.

I then went to an amazing emerg. hospital were I will be taking my other cats.

They over charged me as well and had the gaul to ask for more.

I say this so this won't happen to you. I lost the a piece of my heart that day when he was put down. I don't think I can ever get over this.

I recently moved so I had to find a new vet. The Clarkson Village Animal Hospital team is fantastic. It was hard for me to find a new vet as I loved my old clinic but it was just too far to go. They surpassed my expectations. I have been dealing with medical issues with my dog, Bailey, and they have been able to implement different ideas, that has help immensely.
