Kensington Animal Hospital, Burnaby Reviews (10)
We engaged this vet to handle the paperwork for shipping our cat to the UK. Unfortunately, they made a mistake on the validity of the vaccination certificate, which led to our cat being quarantined upon arrival. Despite eventually refunding the fees, we incurred significant additional quarantine expenses due to the avoidable error.
What's more concerning is their attitude towards the issue. They seemed to think it wasn't their responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the paperwork. They were happy to take our money and portray themselves as competent, but when they made a mistake, they absolved themselves of responsibility.
In my opinion, this lack of accountability reflects poorly on their professionalism. I would advise others to consider seeking a more reliable and responsible service provider.

Dishonest. Receptionists were very rude cold and uncaring just lip service

Dishonest pricing
I have been coming to this clinic for 4 years and absolutely LOVE and TRUST all three doctors here. The staff are also very professional and compassionate. I 100% recommend this place to all pet owners! So glad I finally found a decent vet.
Yes I found he wanted to do a full "lab" and "xray" workup on my cat as she was underweight. The cat is active and is slim and muscular? I have never had any vet comment on her except that she looks young. I feel that was a money grub.
Having said that he does look after the RSPCA animals so he is not 100% money grubber and is capable.

I came home from work one day to find my puppy barely able to breathe and coughing incessantly. His simple case of kennel cough had worsened during the day. I called my regular vet and was told they were closing for the day. I called the Kensington next. They told me to bring the dog right away and the vet would wait for me. Once there they were very caring and concerned-spent time with the pup, gave him medication immediately and waited to see how he reacted. I was given clear instructions on how to care for him and told to call next day and let them know how he was doing. Needless to say, I've dropped my old vet and stayed with this one. Over the last three years, I've never received anything but excellent service-from the receptionists to the vets. I would highly recommend them.
This is a wonderful animal hospital. They truly care about the animals. They have helped us out many times and they are not out to make a fortune as there prices are reasonable.I highly reccomend this place for yor pets.
We have been using this animal hospital for some time and are quite happy with the results. We can always get an appointment fast, never have to wait to see the vet, and the receptionists are very friendly. They seem to genuinly care about the animals and I am always happy with the reluts. I would recommend others to use this vet.
I had an emergency with my puppy over a year ago. He became very ill suddenly while I was driving home to Port Moody from downtown Vancouver. He was vomiting and had diarrhea in my car. It was very scary because he was so ill. I was caught in rush hour traffic and I knew I would not be able to get to my vet in Coquitlam before they closed...so I stopped at Kensington Animal Hospital (which was on the way). The vet just glanced at my pup and then recommended I take him to the emergency overnight hospital in Coquitlam. The vet did not do one thing to help my dog...and had the gall to charge me for the so-called checkup. How cruel! He didn't even do anything to help my dog and charged me for it. Money-grubbing vet! I was so distraught over my dog that I paid the bill...but afterward I wished I had just walked out of there!! Pure example of no compassion or empathy! Just out for the buck! Please do not take your beloved pet here.
