I will tell you from MY experience, the Richmond Cat Care Veterinary Clinic are VERY selective in how they apply their payment policies..........I had a friend willing to come pick up some medicine I needed (my working hours are outside of the hours they are open) but they were not willing to take a check from me (even though I have never been in arrears, and my friend has been a customer with her cats there for 14 years ), SO I spoke to them on the phone and offered my Visa number....they were NOT willing to take my Visa over the phone (directly from ME), stating they are only adhering to VISA rules.............. YET, they are quite happy to and in fact they SUGGESTED that my friend brings in my Visa so it can be can swiped by them it in person............WITHOUT my being there to sign it!!!!!................pretty selective 'adherence to Visa policies' don't you think? IN FACT isn't that against the law for them to even suggest that someone who is NOT the cardholder bring in a card to be swiped? Especially since I was ON THE LINE with them and willing to give a number in person? Think about this, every take-out food place will take your Visa over the phone...most don't ask to see the card when they deliver to you. I pay fees and bills by giving my Visa over the phone all the time. Visa has not suddenly changed their policies, the Richmond CatCare Veterinary clinic snot of an office worker was unable to think outside the box. She told me they have over 10 thousand dollars of unpaid invoices out there,.....OK, I UNDERSTAND where they are coming from but the inability to look at each individual situation show's a lack of basic smarts in my opinion. Obviously, I was upset as she was giving me NO reasonable option.......but she took it FAR too personally and forgot BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE....................I left a message for the owner of the clinic to call me directly to clear it up. So far she has chosen not to address this...................................... SO, I say do NOT go and subject yourself to their extremely atrocious customer service, the only issue that seemed to matter was the money not the animals, and the way the indignant office worker was telling the story, it is clear they are struggling financially....perhaps that is clouding their vision? ........I wonder if this reflects the quality of the care of your animals as well?.....................

I have had several appointments with this company. Unfortunately my most recent appointment last month, was HORRIBLE! It cost me $600.00 to discover that they did not know what was wrong with my cat's leg. Within 5 mins. of having her home after spending a traumatizing night in the hospital, I discovered by myself, a small cut that the "experts" were unable to find. I pointlessly paid to have her x-rayed, and kept overnight, when I feel that if they had done a proper examination when she was sedated, they would have easily found the problem. Also, they cut her nails so short that one bled for almost two weeks after the appointment. I never asked them to touch her nails!
Overall......EXTREMELY disappointed in the level of "Catcare" that I received. As well $600 of my hard earned money gone for nothing!
I will definately NOT be returning to this Vet.
