St Francis Pet Hospital, Edmonton Reviews (2)
I had my cat at two other hospitals before I went to St. Francis. My cat was badly constipated and needed a seduced enema . I took him to the Blue cross,.where they told me that it is a bladder probem , did a blood urine sample test, prescibed medication and after $ 400.oo sent me on my way. Shortly after, my cats health improved but then he got even worse, so i took him to the Capital City Vet hospital, and there they saw the Blue cross lab reports and said that it was not a bladder problem, but kidney disease and early peridontal. They also told me that yes there is something in his anus, but sent me home with laxitives , atibiotics, and pain releivers, but left the blockage in his, colon!! that cost me $ 261.oo
Well , now 3 days later, my cats condition was even worse!!! , and it looked like this was the end , so I telephoned St.Francis, and for quote on x -rays, and found out that they were only $120.oo and cover charge was only $50.oo . May I now say that cover charge at Blue cross and Capital City is $ 86.oo and Capital city charges $200.oo for x-rays.
I took my cat to St. Francis, and they did not mess around!!! They are very knowlegable, profesional, caring, and they got right to work. They did an x-ray, and showed me the blockage. It was horrible blockage. They tried to remove it with out anestesia, but said that it is too painful and stressfull and did a seduced enema. Then they took a second x-ray to make sure that the blockage was removed. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE SECOND X-RAY and showed it to me. Then they showed me the blockage that they removed!!! I new it was my cats because it was green, and that was because I was giving my cat olive oil !!! ( Please do not give your cat olive oil unless you know it is safe and the safe way to do it. ) any way, the bill was only $353.oo . At St.francis, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY !!! St.Francis in Inglewood Edmonton, did solve the problem, for $ 360.oo and Capital City would have charged me ove $800.oo

If you consider your pets as family I suggest not taking the to see Chantel the Vets assistant... Chances are you wont see Dr. Carol, unless she can make $$ off of you!
This Vet has no idea what quality customer service is, let alone what a little bit of compassion is!
Yes they will do payments, but only at the cost of your pets life! Good Luck
