Our family have been using Dr A Greenbank and Dr Rivas for approximately 15 years now. We were referred to Dr Greenbank by our breeder. I really trust Ann as well she is "common sense". Michelle and Jackie have been there as long or longer which is really nice to have staff that know you as well. They all care about your pets well being and are very sincere about it. I could NOT imagine going anywhere else!!

Writing a report on Dr. Greenbank and her Veterinary Services in SE Edmonton is a pleasure for me. There are some other Doctors that do a reasonable job, but not as well and effective as Dr. Greenbank. She discovered our cat, Boomer, had some very serious hip problems and a very hard time negotiating just a one foot jump. He had serious problems walking. He was in a lot of pain.

We changed Vets a while ago and went to Dr. Greenbank. It was closer to home. Best choice we made in years for our cat.

It didn't take long for her to discover Boomer's hip was really out of joint and hurt him badly.

I was ecstatic over her ability to determine so quickly, what Boomer's problem was. I wish I had more expressive words to say to her than "Thank you so much".

In my personal opinion, she is the best Vet, not just in Edmonton, but probably the entire province of Alberta.

As for the staff, they are first rate. They are sincere and don't hesitate to do anything to help with either the pet's owner or for the pet.

It's a perfect organization with an extremely competent staff and we couldn't do without them now.

Our thanks to all.

My family and a large number of my friends have taken our beloved pets to Greenback Veterinary Services for a great number of years. All of the people who work there display great compassion and concern for our animals and the services provided have been much appreciated. Thanks to the staff for always being there!

To obtain evidence of frequent wrong doing here you must record your visit on your smart device as Greenbank Veterinary Services Inc. will deny everything and tell nothing but fairytales to ABVMA investigations. As a science educated person who researched the artificial insemination process for imported frozen canine semen, I knew what should and should not be done during the botched TransCervical Insemination (TCI) procedure. The Alberta Veterinary Association takes the word of the veterinarian over the clients, so only recorded evidence is of any value in a complaints process. Do not use this clinic.

By accident, this Vet clinic was referred to me by my own Vet when he was unavailable and his substitute couldn't operate due to an arm injury. Since then, I had been going to this Vet clinic and not anymore to my old Vet nor the 3 other Vets in my residential vicinity. Front staff are friendly. Price is not outrageous. Parking is ample. Office is not run down. Candies are available for the waiting Moms and Dads, and there are enough chairs for us all.

Immediacy of the operation needed for my dog's worsened ulcer of the eye was immediate, as in the next day! Understandably and so as not to put under anesthesia twice in a month, they accommodated spaying my girl too, in the same operation time. That saved me money! Thus I had to cancel another Vet appointment scheduled someplace else.

Never have I been around so many huge dogs ever as I was in their clinic every time I go there. This clinic is by far the busiest I have been in to. Despite 12 in staff, it is hard to cope with the traffic so those who complained about delayed services rendered despite appointments, now you know why, just like seeing your own doctor! Were they ever on time?

Thankyou Dr's and staff at Greenbank vet clinic for being so helpful and caring when I have brought my cat in a few times. Being a concerned pet owner, you were all very reassuring and diligent in making sure my cat is healthy, and that any health concern gets addressed. Thankyou

We are delighted with Dr Greenbank's care of our elderly dog. She has been easing his arthritic discomfort with acupuncture treatments. We have found her and her staff to be thoughtful, compassionate, and always willing to take time to answer our questions. We highly recommend her as a vet and highly recommend trying acupuncture as a method of pain relief.

Dr. Ann Greenbank and her team are fantastic!

We have lived in 5 provinces, having to search for a trustworthy vet for our pets in every location. Believe us, this is not an easy task! Now we are back in Edmonton and so grateful we can bring our babies back to GVS.

You get the whole package deal at Greenbank Veterinary Services:
-They understand and are sensitive to the needs of retired racing greyhounds (for us, this is vital)
-An atmosphere of genuine care
-Vets are great communicators of their expertise to you in layman's terms
-From reception to vet techs to veterinarians you find experienced and understanding people
-Authentic interest in the well being of your pet from everyone
-Actual knowledge in animal nutrition

-AND fair rates.

THANK YOU Greenbank Veterinary Services for being there for our three greyhounds and two cats.

I was displeased overall.
First the good, I got an appointment right away when I called. I had a surgery scheduled for my dog once upon a time and was happy with the surgery and follow up care I received. The technicians are helpful, kind, outgoing, friendly and the staff now how to handle the pets.
Now the bad, I brought my senior dog in for a health concern. The Dr was brusque, not wanting to related to me her opinion on my dog's health, seeming to want me to go along with any tests/ treatment that she wanted to administer without providing me an informed opinion on alternative options. I had the impression she was too busy running the business to provide information to me about my dog's health. I said I'd need to think about something she had suggested and consult with my spouse which appeared to cause tense body language/ voice in her. I won't be taking my dog back here again.

I took one of my dogs to this clinic for a routine surgery with Dr. Rivas and it was completely messed up! Both the doctor and the clinic refused to take any form of responsibility for messing up his surgery even though I have the report where there are definitely errors! All they would say was we must have fed our dog before his surgery... I'm sorry but I am not stupid and I work as an RN so I know not to eat before anesthetic! They were NOT compassionate, understanding or sympathetic to the problem even after our dog ended up in ICU for nearly a week costing us nearly 5,000 on top of the cost of the surgery. The dog died several times but the Critical care center was able to bring him back to us. The doctor was rude on the phone and basically refused to speak with us in person after this incident when we were trying to sort out what went wrong exactly so that we could all learn from this and the critical care vet could better help our dog. The surgeon hung up on us and blatantly said that our dog was not her problem! I'm sorry but working in health care if one of my patients crashes they ARE my problem until I have handed over care to someone else. So yes he was her problem! I have so many more examples as the the utter disregard for animal life and, unprofessional behavior on behalf of this vet and defensive and rude attitude towards us. I will never recommend anyone taking a pet here whether it is for a routine surgery or not! The surgeon DOES NOT care! I am so disgusted with this vet I am going to file a formal complaint but I just wanted everyone else checking here to have a heads up! Luckily our dog lived but that has nothing to do with Greenbank or Dr. Rivas and everything to do with the amazing care that the critical care center provided.
Sincerely,
A disgusted dog owner

Dr.Greenbank is AMAZING,I've been going to her for years and she knows purebred dogs and their health issues inside and out. She is extremely knowledgable, I strongly recommend her as a vet. Unfortunately she does the check ups, not the surguries. The other vet who does all of the surgeries...NOT so impressive. She had done the WORST stitch job I have ever seen and chose to use dissolvable stitches on a lump that she had removed on my dog. Every stitch had ripped open, I had to take him back to get restitched and I was charged again. Needless to say, I'll be back for check ups with Dr. Greenbank, but NEVER again for any type of surgery.

Very caring, Very Kind, Compassionate, honest, loving, 5 stars
doesn't do them justice. Try 10 stars out of 5. Ann Greenbanks knowledge and care are matched by the kindness and compassion of her staff. An oasis in this world we live in, where human decency, and integrity are integral. Because of their abilities, knowledge, and compassion; my golden retriever Sammy lived 15 happy years. With his inherit health issues, he could have easily only lived half as long. You can't put a price on love. That is what Greenbank Veterinary is all about. An ineffable thank you to every one at Greenbank veterinary who touched Sammy's life.

My first puppy saw Dr. Greenbank 18 years ago when she was an associate vet at Beck's Vet Clinic. She was so good that we followed her when she set up her own practice! How many dogs bang on the door to get into see a vet? They have helped us through all of the stages of our 'fur people's' life - from birth to death. All 4 of our dogs were/are excited to go to the clinic. All of the staff are amazing and we have recommended this clinic to everyone we know. In 18 years, we have NEVER had a bad experience. Professional, caring and compassionate is what they practice and you can tell that their PASSION is the animals who come to see them.

NOT SURE WHAT THE FIRST REVIEW WAS ALL ABOUT BUT I HAVE NEVER IN 10 YEARS OF BEING A CLIENT AT GREENBANK HAD ANY OF THOSE ISSUES, JUST THE OPPOSITE. BOTH VETS GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME, CALL ME UP PERSONALLY WITH RESULTS AND TREAT ALL 3 OF MY PETS (2 DOGS, 1 CAT) AS IF THEY WERE THEIR OWN. THEIR STAFF IS EXCELLENT TOO AND ARE ALWAYS CONCERNED IF WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE SERVICES. I HAVE REFERRED MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY OVER THE YEARS AND THEY ONLY HAVE GREAT THINGS TO SAY!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!

I have brought my pet to this clinic for 5 or more years, and in this time had never received an on-time appointment. I would arrive for a 5 o'clock appointment, and not be seen for at least 20 minutes or later.
Further to that, in receiving routine information and follow ups from the clinic regarding test results or similar items, I would always have to call to find this information out, rather than receive a phone call as promised from the clinic.
I have made my concerns about these two points to the clinic, but after no improvements or changes, I have stopped going to this clinic.

Both vets are so caring and professional that it is a joy and comfort to take our two dogs there. The staff is always friendly, the clinic is clean and the fees are fair. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
