My vacuum stopped working one day so I took it in to get repaired. This same shop had replaced the pull-out cord only one year ago. They called me and said that they would have to replace a whole part at the end of the vacuum as it had malfunctioned and quoted $285. I did not accept this quote so took it to another dealer.
I just found out that all it was was a loose wire in the pull-out cord, no new parts required. The repair was practically free.
