I first contacted Select in early March to get a price and time frame to bring a truck from North Carolina to Lloydminster. I was told about 2 weeks but maybe less because they had a pickup in that area the next week. I contacted them again on March 11th to confirm my spot on the truck and arrangements for forwarding the paper work. I could expect the truck the end of March “maybe” earlier. March end came and went. I heard a variety of excuses for the delays. The injectors went on the truck. The brake pots went on the Trailer. The driver was elderly. You can only driver 8 hours a day in the US. When the truck finally arrived April 8th the carrier’s straps had worn holes in the tires down to the white fibre belting within the tires. All 4 tires were ruined and needed to be replaced. I contacted the office and was told they would have to put in an insurance claim “that might take awhile” and for me to replace the tires and I would be reimbursed. I told them not to bother sending me a bill until I was reimbursed. This resulted in a call from the owner who to her credit did pay for the tires. Of course my bill arrived with out delay with no reduction for the rental I had to get and my time dealing with their damage. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
