I just wanted to give you a heads up about the sad state of the store that I experienced yesterday:
- The person working the registry desk was very sick and unable to answer most of my questions. When I went to look at my registry today, she had entered in some of the information incorrectly.
- The parent's lounge was dirty and smelly. Surprisingly, it didn't feature ANY of the items in your store. What a missed opportunity to show off your products. No change table or area, no diaper genie, stained old chairs, etc. My friend said next time, she would prefer to nurse in the public washroom!
- No $10 Sophie! After reading about the promotion in the flyer and all over the website, imagine my surprise that Sophie has sold out within the first few days and they were not expecting any more during the sale.
- When we went to check out, one cashier was in the midst of closing down. This left one cashier open, during lunch hour. There were no fewer than 15 people in line! 15 people! That is totally unacceptable!
- I asked for a catalogue, and was directed to the front of the store...where, of course, there were none.
It's really not a big deal for me, I can shop elsewhere. But I would think that when you are bringing in new parents, who you would like to keep as customers for the next 15+ years, that you would really want to encourage them to come back. And, to bring there friends who are also all having babies! I was truly shocked at the sad state of this store, and I'm really not sure if I would ever return.

I recently purchased a gift certificate from Toys R us. I was told by the cashier that they did not have any envelopes for the gift cards . When I asked about a gift receipt for the card I was told that the cash register no longer produces this kind of receipt.
I think this is unsatisfactory on two counts:
1. the person I am giving the card to has no receipt if there is a problem with the card
2. It looks very poor to just hand someone the card. When I mentioned this I was told to buy a greeting card and put the gift card inside. I feel that I shouldn't have to do this
One employee told me he would write on the back of the card with a permanent marker..very unprofessional looking!
When I asked to speak to the manager Deb she said that there was nothing she could do and walked away from me. Very rude.
