In the summer of 1958, a group of theatre enthusiasts led by Jack McCreath, produced "Lady Audley's Secret" in the basement of Edmonton's Jubilee Auditorium. Fifty years and three theatre buildings later, Walterdale has mounted almost 500 productions. As Canada's second oldest amateur theatre group, Walterdale's considerable influence on Edmonton's famed theatre scene is incontrovertible.
