Ive had 6 tattoos done here in the last 23 yrs and ive loved every one!!! Love Pauls work!!!

cant believe it i laughed at some of the comments and blew it off. but they are actually real bad i got a simple flower done there...simple! and it looks like its dieing or dead. i mean i gave them no creative thought to the piece just a picture. i wish i took the advice from others and stayed far far away. this place is bad. and the guy who did my tattoo apparently has tattooed for 20 years pffff ya right. im telling all my university friends stay away. thank god for fountain of ink to fix it!

I would not recommend anyone getting a tattoo from this place it will not be what you want it to be, their art over the years has declined alot in quality and his sons have never been able to do a tattoo, I know 3 people who have went here, all 3 tattoos are ruined and cannot be fixed. Save yourself the money and embarassement and don't go. Also the shop seems very dirty.

All i can say is WOW!!!!! I will never let anyone or refer anyone here again. I Had A friend go there and Tommy completely messed her tattoo up. It is the ugliest thing i have ever seen tattooed in my life. I have no idea who or why he works there. He has no ability to tattoo at all. Makes me sick that you can trust somebody to do a permanent tattoo on you and they tell you "NO PROBLEM" and do such a horrible job.she wont even give this place the satisfaction of returning to see what can bee done> Makes me look like a fool to know I told people about this place. Don't go here.

Although I've gone to Dermagraphics for all 5 of my tattoos, I'm sad to say I probably won't go there again. Nothing against Paul (he fixed my tattoo that Tommy screwed up), and Paul has done all my boyfriend's tattoos, which have turned out amazing. He did a great cover-up with a tribal design, and free-handed the outline of it.
Tommy however, is a different story. He's done all of my tattoos, and I honestly don't know why I even went back there after he screwed up my first tattoo. He made a spelling mistake on the tattoo on my forearm. It was fixed by Paul (thank god). And when I went back there to get a tattoo on my ribs, it was ridiculous. They had priced it out before I went at $140. Obviously, that's all I brought with me in cash. Tommy took a look at the sketch, and said straight up "what do I get out of it?".
So I'm assuming that the horrible mistake that he made with crunching all the numbers of a date on my ribcage were because he didn't see "what he got out of it". Unfortunately, this tattoo cannot be fixed like the other screw up, and the only way to fix it is to get it removed and re-done. Not only that, but I found the mistake when I got home (didn't see it at the shop when I looked at it because of the swelling/redness). I was so upset, that I refuse to even go back to get it touched up, even though it needs to be.
I know that I made a mistake by getting it done by Tommy again, but I had the stupid impression that he cared about the PERMANENT artwork that he was putting on people.
I'm sorry to Paul, but you need to fire his a$$. Maybe I'll think of coming back if you do.

Now I will be asking for a fix job or will be going to someone else but just have to say one thing I wish I had my tattoo done by the guy with experience because the person who did mine obviously had none. The shop was looking better then the people were saying but with the work did too. Hope it will be an easy fix.

Today (well yesterday since its 4am) I got my first tattoo and despite the majority of these reviews which I read, and honestly started tugging at my nerves, I decided to trust Paul with the task. I don't regret it at all, the guy did an AMAZING job.

As for his "grouchy little old man" attitude that you guys described, I think its you guys that have the problem and just dont know how to treat an adult with respect. He was great, talked me through the tattoo, and kept up jokes with me and my friend to keep my mind of that obnoxious buzzing noise (omfg worst part of the tattoo >_>)and is a really friendly guy. His staff there was just as friendly, relaxed and proffessional.

Finally, I kept reading comments like "It's dirty!" "It smells!" etc etc. I'd like to be the guy to clarify this, the shop was very clean, and smelled just fine, and I had a second opinion since the girl that I brought with me is very sensitive to smells and appearences. The only "smell" that I could think people might complain about is the smell of ciggarette smoke that clings to Paul, but c'mon, 3/4 of downtown Guelph smell like that.

So all in all, I dont know who Cloud and the other guy were,or what the place was like prior to today, but it seems like they were the ones making a mess of the store, cuz I'm quite happy with its current state. Literally the ONLY complaint I would make, is that I wish I had a more comfortable chair to sit on during that hour -_- the little one made me cramp up and made my arms fall asleep.

Little note: They use disposable,single use, steralized needles, so my fear of being tattood with a "dirty needle" flew out the window when they showed me that.

Paul I dont know if you read these reviews, but if you do, thanks for the awesome job, and I figured a good review was the least I could do in return.

I had Pauls son do mine and my friend plus our piercings for an awesome price a d it was awesome.
They were all very kind to us and did a good job!
I am a very picky person and I love my tattoo

I have to say as a 20 year tattooed veteran. Dermagraphics has been around for over 20 years with multiple shops in Guelph, Geargetown, Acton, and Milton. Paul is a seasoned tattooed artist who like all artists take pride in his work. his sons also do tattooes there and I beleive they are mid 20's NOT 10! I actually had the opertunity to work for Paul years ago and yes he can be a prick! and is very hard to work for, but when the staff cant get off their lazy ass to clean or give propper customer service they are fired and this has been the result of most of the KIDS who have so called left to open up shops on there own, I was fired too from Pauls for NOT doing my job. Paul is A WORLD FAMOUS ARTIST and a great one at that. He travels to Europe and does a tour to Friends shops every year and he is welcomed there, they don't have the drama B.S. we have here. Choose your tattoo artist like you do a Doctor? Oh 99% of people don't even do that right, they let some stranger who maybe a doctor but can still be a creep or not so smart doctor touch them and tell them they are sick or fine but they make a big stink if a tattoo artist is a dick or smelly or young! WTF? Not everyone will be 100% happy with a tattoo they get no matter where they get it. When I worked there so many people came in from other shops, "Please fix my tattoo, ........... screwed it up." well all shops that i have been to seem to be great artists and all have that 1 artists there that no one likes for what ever reasons. for those of you who are not happy with your tattoo, go back complain! DUH! maybe your not an artists and you expect too much from a scar with ink in it!!!!!!Maybe you just moved around too much and whined that it hurt and your the reason it's not looking 100% who the heck knows. All I know if I get bad service when I spend money at any type of business I speak up an say something to management, or better yet, don't go into a shop acting like a no it all dusch bag and maybe you will get treated with a little respect.

Guelph has TOO MANY tattoo shops the city should be limiting them to 3 or 4 about 9 shops here now WTF! Cockroaches in the basement? why are you in the basement? its downtown Guelph, have you been to Toronto? LOLThere are not enough regulated laws for shops and Paul was the ONLY shop in the Guelph and KW area that pushed for these laws for all these years, so maybe do your research before you post crap on the internet.

i went into dermagraphics the other day just for a laugh because of the reviews ,,man i got to say the laugh is on you people that are writing those bad reviews about thier studio,i found the place was great , nothing wrong with it,it was clean ,staff was excellent and very freindly, and it looks like a tattoo shop , not a salon ,so i sat down and got a tattoo by paul ,,it looks fantastic he did a great job ,,the man apperently has been in the business for almost thirty years ,,how could you not want a tattoo from a man with that amount of experience and knowhow about the industry and still doing great looking tattoos,,there is trophys and plaques all aver the shop for tattoos he has done all over the world man !i am sorry bad reviews i have to say i recomend this shop highly to all,,,and no i am not a freind of thiers ,,just a very happy client

After reading the reviews , it made me wonder what to do. I told Paul what was written and he told me to trust him he'd do a good job. Well I did just that and had Paul do a lion on my shoulder, it turned out great !!! everybody thinks its awesome! 5 years ago cloud did a tattoo on my other shoulder and messed up the letters! Now I don't know about his son, but Paul did a great job for a good price. I wonder now if someone is just trying to take his clients away by bad mouthing him. Anyway, good work Paul and I'd come to you again!

I called in the other day for a appointment with Cloud only to find out that he was no longer there. The man on the phone (Paul) said that he " up, left and moved to USA". I found out later that day that the two guys that did work there QUIT. The desk guy/tattoo guy Josh opened his own shop in Kitchener and Cloud also works for him. I have many friends who have been both of these guys Clients for sometime and they have all been told the same. I thought i would come on here and clear the air about where they are since the old s*** cant get over the fact that the two best things keeping his shop open quit. So what I know so far is the business is in KITCHENER somewhere on Queen ST. If anybody knows anything else please let me know the location on here.
Sorry Paul, your shop is dirty and your son is a bad artist.

I phoned for an appointment for a tattoo with Cloud or Josh and was told by an older man answering the phone that they had "gone to the States"?? Does anyone know where they are...I heard Kitchener?

Well I can say that Dermagraphics By Paul is the most pathetic
tattoo shop In history. I went in over the weekend to only find out they have lost there best artist and would not tell me where he has relocated to. You can bet your ass the little kid that seems to think he is a artist is still there tattooing. I had found out the other day that that is the owners son. I will give them a 1 out of 10 million for there sad attempt to throw some paint on the walls to try to make the place look clean. I think the old guy that owns the place and kid should be the ones that need to get cleaned up first. I know people say not to judge a book by it's cover, but the work that come out of this place is pure junk and over priced. I also made the mistake of taking my little boy in there with me, there was about 10 kids in there talking about there weekend bar fights and kussing like sailors. I hope while these owners give the place a make over they take a hose to that dreadful bathroom and get some new staff. I take it back, the best thing for this shop in to shut the doors and close the place up. Over the past year they have earned the worst reputation in Guelph for there tattoo work and customer service. They proved this all tobe true over the weekend. I found it absolutely hilarious that they are now doing tattoo removal. People wont even go in there to get work put on them so what makes them think anyone will go in there to let the idiots take it off of them with the lazer. I think they will lose alot of money on the removal because it will all be freebies for all the coustomers that come back to have the junk that was put on them in the first place by these idiots taken off. Why do they even stay open? I don't even see how they can manage when all the owner does all day is sleep, my friend had gone in about 2 years ago and the old fart (owner Paul)was sleeping in the sitting area. Way to slap some class into the joint old man!
Good luck to this hole because they are going to need it. I give them 1 year before they close the doors or someone from Public Health does.
Do your research when picking a tattoo shop, make sure the work the publish is really there's, and the arist is old enough to get into a R rated movie, look around to see if things are clean. Beware of sleeping staff in the lobby!!!

i read the last post and thought to myself huh maybe this guy is right maybe people are just hateing on Dermagraphics! soooo i went in and got a tattoo by PAUL!!!! FUCK me was i dumb. Compared to my friends tattos and most done by cloud i might add! my sucks bad! I will never give this fool my money again and hope no one has to go through what i have ! does the guy with the lion even know what a tatto should look like?makes me wonder if its one of Pauls buddies?

I have no clue what anyone is talking about i went to dermagraphics and found it great.

OK i came here to get a tattoo and had somewhat of the same thing a smelly kid did a piss poor job of a tattoo on me aswell and being told to not worry about his age he is good at what he does was BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! THIS shop is one of the worst shops i have ever been into.ITS NOT THE 80s guys people dont think tattoos are for bikers and gangbangers so step into now and clean it up a little if thats possable.The only reason people went to this shop was for the artist that used to work there but THERE GONE so PLEASE PEOPLE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE do your reasurch and go to another respectfull shop that cares about what they will do on you.BELIEVE ME DERMAGRAPHICS WONT.

When anyone thinks tattoo shop they think clean,great service,artists over the age of 10 and inviting.

This tattoo shop was disgusting and smells like cigs and booze. I think the KID that did my friends tattoo was no older then 18. The old guy said he was there best and could do anything.....ANYTHING BUT SPELL THE TATTOO WRIGHT!!!! This kid smelled like he had been drinking for days and looked it too and when we went back a few hours later they said pretty much "tough shit" and sent us on our way.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET ANY WORK DONE BY "DERMADIRTHOLE"!!! PEOPLE WHO HAVE GOT WORK DONE BY THAT KID WILL TELL YOU THEY FEEL THE SAME.
