On 2011-10-22 I phoned Vinyl Connection to for estimate to repair leaks. (I already had one estimate for $200.) While detaching liner 2 servicemen broke off about 10 feet of bead track. They used construction adhesive to glue it back on. (My grandson finds liner holes by visual inspection and does not detach liner.) After adhesive drying overnight (with no clamping) they said to refill the pool which took me a day using 2 garden hoses. When pool filled, I phoned them to return to get their equipment. They gave me Invoice #3107 for $621.50 which I paid. This was hugely more than I expected (I already had a $200 estimate and my grandson would have done for nothing). After watching water level for 2 days I covered the pool over for winter in usual manner. My grand-daughter wishes to use pool for her birthday party so I opened it July 25. Even at my age 75, a simple job for me, just top up, vacuum winter debris to waste, add chemicals, shock and it is ready to use. I found the repair of the bead track had failed and both track and liner had fallen away from wall (see photo). (The Trevi factory has written me that bead tracks are factory Ultrasonic welded in place to each wall panel section and there is no glue compliant with these 2 thermoplastic materials. In normal use that system has never
failed. They say my only proper option now is to change the 3 or 4 wall panels destroyed by servicemen. Please correct this before my grand-daughter's birthday Friday August 3rd. You should have appropriate thermoplastic welding equipment to do a professional repair of the needless damage you did. Thank You, John, Ajax, ON 1:05 PM 8/1/2012 (To date I have not received a reply to at least 4 letters like this and my pool
remains unusable.)
