Great clothing, as overpriced as it is, and sale prices are still a joke.
Merchandising standards, there isn't any. The owner is completely happy having empty walls, and mid afternoon coming into the store high as a kite throwing clothing on the floor like she's throwing wood into a bonfire, acting erratic, sketchy, and not to mention just plain rude.
Staff never last here. Would love to know the turnover total, after all these "successful" years of business. Her rein of terror and bedside manor are definitely one of a kind.
Someone needs to put that dog down.

A few weeks ago I was on a hunt for a cute sweater I had seen at another store that did not have my size. Honestly I debated going into Cottage toys as I hadn't had the best experiences in prior visits, but thought I would give it a try. When I entered the store the owner, Donna was there, who did not greet me but rather snickered when I came through the door, mind you though I have plenty of nice clothes, I wasn't looking my best as I had been coming off a long work week and had come into town for a early appointment.. Anyhow I ignored it, and went on looking for the sweater, without help. I found it but they did not have my size, reluctantly, I asked Donna if she would by chance be able to order my size in, and offered to pay that day. Still not being overly friendly, she said she thought she would be able to, took down my number and said she would know in a couple hours once she looked on the computer, I said thank you and was on my way. I never heard back that day so I called the next, a girl answered and said Donna was not in, that she had left for Florida! I asked if there was a note left she said no and that it didn't look like she had even bothed looking up the sweater I wanted nevermind ordering it. It has been a month now still never bothered to phone, just goes to show you she could care less about her clients. I once used to spend a lot of money in that store but I had another bad experience, with her. I also shop in Toronto a lot and found a lot of the clothes she carries is stuff that has already been marked down and on the sale racks in the city. That visit was my last!
