Tranquility Beauty Spa, Scarborough Reviews (5)
This place is not only worth it, its the best spa experience I have had!!!! I went for a facial, I have acned skin, and I have been everywhere with no success. The new manager there was so helpful and took the time to explain why I am suffering from acne. She took me in the back and showed me products that would help me and even showed me how to use them. I have been going for 3 months now and have had 3 treatments... I can only tell you my acne has cleared so much It's almost gone!!!!!!!!! I have also done my eyebrows and there and am so Happy...
Good work all, looking forward to my body wrap next month :)

Got my eyelash done at the STC locaton and it was awful. There was NO difference as I had just walked in. Maybe because I'm Asian and have difficult straight lashes, but I've had them done at other cheaper places, with way better results. TBS charges $50+tax, and although the lady who did was nice, but it just didn't work at all! You are asked to sign and acknowledge that services may or not work and at your own risk, without a refund before you start.
I never experienced their facial treatments or body treatments, but their manicures and pedicures are awful! They did not have a lot of nail colour selection, the tools looked dirty, and the woman who did my nails would not shut up! The salon I usually get them done at (which is besides a No Frills) is so much better than this place. For the money not worth it. I do, however, want to try their facial treatments, but I do not want to at the same time.
I happened upon this place and booked a pedicure (and waxing) on the spot - big, big mistake. The place is small and not as clean and tidy as one would expect from a 'Spa' and no tp in the washroom - the girl handed me a box of tissues. Really the name is a misnomer because I felt like I was on the sidewalk or a hole-in-the-wall place. The 'Spa' pedicure was so much less than what I would get a one of the hundreds of strip mall nail places but triple the cost - no massage, no moisturizing treatment, minimal exfoliation, quick and only satisfactory colour application. On top of all that the total cost was $70 AND to add insult to injury they charged $1.50 for debit! Do I need to say that I will never go there again? If I could give this place a zero star rating I would.
This spa is very small, it consist of two massage room and a bathroom plus small room for doing pedicures.
The room they do the pedicures in is the same room as the cleaning supplies, which are in plain site.
The area where they do manicures, is in the same area they do facials. No privacy here.
There are no changing rooms, you change in the room where you are getting your treatment. Not 100% safe by my measures.
Also being it is in Scarborough Town Centre, no offence to town centre, but the spa is not quiet by any means. You can hear the people outside the spa including crying children.
On a positive note the massage I received was very good, done by D.
