A Great Time
Both my kids had a wonderful time at Silver Blades last year. My son was in the hockey program, and my daughter in CanSkate.

Silver Blades is a Skate Canada sanctioned club that has been in operation for 64 years. We are non-profit, and 100% volunteer run. Our goal is to be a community based, family oriented club that promotes teamwork and a feeling of belonging among all levels of skaters.

Our club has over 425+ skaters, at all skill levels. Last season had a 5 year high in our number of registered skaters.

All lessons are run out of Central Arena on Montgomery Road, and instructed by Professional Coaches, assisted by our Program Assistants.

Our 2009 / 2010 Season will run from September ’09 until April ’10, and end with our very popular Ice Show.

Programs Offered: Tots (3.5 - 5 yrs) For children who have never skated. Maximum 8 skaters per group

CanSkate (4 years +) Skaters will learn forwards, backwards, stopping, turning, skating skills. It is designed to move skaters skillfully through levels of skating. Skaters are grouped by level and may change groups according to individual progress.

CanPower: This program is geared to hockey players ages 6 – 10 who have basic forward and backward skating skills and can stop on command. The program focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Full hockey equipment and a hockey stick are required

- Jr/Intermediate/Senior for those who wish to continue in figure skating.
