Salvation Army Thrift Stores

Shamefull practice from back room- heard they save vintage and rare toys for one fellow that shows up and receives them straight from the sorting room, never touching the shelves. Don't bother if you think you'll find something your not that special

I was into yourstore just before closing today. My daughter was seeking a pair of PURPLE track pants to wear for Purple Day tomorrow. The cashier was showing everyone in line (about 6 people), a shirt she was planning to wear tomorrow. I mentioned that we are wearing purple tomorrow for Epilepsy Awareness. She commented in a very loud voice, Epilepsy, what's that, BRAIN DAMAGE?! as she stuck her tonge way out the side of her mouth and tilted her head. I was amazed at her ignorance and lack of empathy, particularly working under the name of "The Salvation Army".
I also notice that you have not included Epilepsy in your charity list below. I would appreciate if you could take the time to teach your employees some compassion, as I have epilepsy! And I devote considerable volunteer hours to Epilepsy Simcoe County and would never respond as she did to another person's disability.

The Essa Road thrift store is a very nice place to shop. I usually find a thing or 2 that I do not need for a great price! The prices & variety on the clothing is a good mixture. I buy for my hole family there.

The staff are very helpful always nice & friendly. I would highly recomend shopping at this thrift store. they are better than Value Village AND good will.
