That's what the guy said when he told me that my trailer of scrap metal was all aluminum and worth 50 cent a pound and not 7 cents. Good people here.

Really like the friendly, honest atmosphere. I know I'm getting the best prices and the best service in the city. I'm always in and out in speedy time and I'm sure my scrap has been assessed honestly. HIGHLY recommend.

I came across some copper ,brass and steel when I was renovating my house.
I spoke to Steve and he told me to come down and that I would be directed.
Steve greated me and put me over to Arnold.
Within a few minutes I walked out with $180.00 and was pleasantly pleased. I loved watching the cranes in action.
Nice people. I have driven by for years and never realized what was in the compound. A very enjoyable experience.
Thanks guys. William Brown

Additional business details

Metal recycling since 1937, Canada Iron and Metal is a third generation family-owned business. Each year, Canada Iron recycles thousands of tonnes of metal and other recyclable materials that otherwise would end up at trash landfills or in our lakes and rivers.

With our highly trained staff and state-of-the-art material handling equipment, we provide a useful service toward the community and are a necessary link in the "consumer chain". People are looking for solutions for a safer and better world for others to live in. Metal recycling is a large part of this solution. Without our recycling operations, the amount of waste going to Toronto's dumps would rise substantially. Every day, commercial recyclers handle as much material in a day as the blue box program does in a week.
