Unbelievable loving care. Good learning experience as well. I think my one son picks up as much in a 1/2 day there as at 1/2 day jr. kindergarten.

3 boys who all love it (1 only in after school care) and the staff who work there.

Only issue (an not really one) is the forced shut-down for jewish holidays which all come in close proximity to each other. Good planning on our part addressed this.

Contrary to other comments we have not noticed an abnormal focus on jewish education (there is a private school on location for that) and my middle son's favourite ornament on the christmas tree this year was a dradle that he made (lol)

My son loved this school, he impressed many friends with his knowledge on various topics and I found the teachers to be super gentle and loving with the kids. I never worried about too much judaism, does anyone seriously worry that their kids might convert or dislike the christians just because they know about passover ??? I think that teaching my kid about easter is my own job and that is enriches my child to know that there are other beliefs. We can only recommend this school.he last star is missing because of the rather many holidays but I don't think the school has a choice and they tell you in their information leaflet.

My daughter has learned quite a bit in the Kindergarten -afterschool program- at Temple. ! She's actually doing grade 1 math already! I think academically is quite good. There are some things that am not happy with. Mainly the HUGE amount of Jewish religion involved in the secular program-there's a separate program for Jewish children however I honestly dont see much difference.
My daughter just learned everything about Passover -which is cool-but NOTHING about EASTER!! Temple Playhouse is supposed to be secular and teaching kids different cultures and religions! hence the separate program for Jewish children.
My husband and I have different religions, so at first we thought it was good that our daughter learnt about Judaism but there is a limit and I think they've crossed it.

This is the first and last year my daughter will attend Temple (she'll be in grade1 in the fall) but I had originally thought it'd be good to send her little sister there but I've since changed my mind due to the huge amounts of religious teaching.

My daughter started Temple Playhouse in September at the age of 2 and a half and by December she knew all her letter recognition and sounds. By 3 years and 2 months she was reading her first books!! The teachers are loving and fun and all the kids go running in to the school happily and cry when they have to leave! They have a great security system and take the kids out for fresh air. They etach all kinds of things from the Art of Van Gogh to Prime Ministers of Canada and also are very creative with crafts. I would highly recommend this school to anyone with bright children as they really encourage them and this certainly is an enrichment program!

Our son loves the pre-school program, they discuss many different topics, do crafts and go outside. It is very structured which I don't mind for a few hours a day. I actually love the exposure to some Hebrew and Jewish songs even though we are not jewish, either. And the team is extremely nice and loving with the children.
We really like it. The last half star is only missing because they do close quite a bit around the Jewish holidays but they make that very clear in their brochure so that people know that when signing their kids up.

It has an interesting after school program, where children learn their numbers, letters and french. It's a complement for school and it serves the purpose of extended care for those parents who work and need a place to leave your child.
It also has a preschool which I've hear all very nice things.
I dont give it more stars, because in spite of saying it's a secular program -in a jewish temple building- they still teach the children religious songs!! My daughter was singing a song in hebrew today!! We're not religious so I was a bit surprised by that. Other than that is good.
You should bring a lunch, even though for a fee they provide lunch is very expensive and lunch is mac n cheese or pizza..
