This school is a waste of time and money. Staff is ill trained, therefore, the students suffer. I could not believe that When I first went into the school I met with one of the owners (Beth) and she informed me of all the wonderful things that happen at Joji's and why it was so much better than the other schools. I was promissed lots of clients (lie), fantastic one-on-one training (lie), positive environment (super lie)and advanced trainging (I need not repeat myself). I was treated rudely by the most of the staff. Joji herself was not very pleasant (although she was fair and very talented) but the other owner was really very unprofessional and demeaning. I went into Joji's with a positive attitude, hope and confidence. I left with little skills (Joji was alwasy too busy to help), little confidence and a lot less money. I was revolted by the way our concerns were treated as an act of war (by Beth the owner)and how little respect they had for students and clients. My education there maid me not want to be a hairdresser at all. Boo to Joji's hair school.

This "academy" is very unprofessional and I do not recommend it to anyone seeking to learn hair styling. As it is a private school, the price is more than twice that of Vancouver Community College (I cannot vouch for this program, but I had a friend who went there and finished with fine skills). The staff do not treat students with respect, they definitely do not act as though you are paying their salary. Also, they seem to make up new rules and regulations as the program goes along. The last I heard, they had a student who recently graduated working as an instructor, because I'm sure her vast knowledge in the industry is worth your hard-earned money.

I was a student years and years ago.. same old story I'm glad it's shut down...
anyone who supports this salon is supporting arrogant old fake women. they may be able to do a nice haircut but the people are fake and rude!
