You can either love this school and all that it stands for or hate it because it will not compromise its standard for you.
Totally loving it and praying for all the staff, teachers and the leadership for their godly leadership and example.

Never judge a book by its cover, there is no perfect world out there. Oakville Christian School is very good school.
I love the school because of the PTA, Office staff, teachers, Mr Kennedy and the families at this school. The bible club is the best ever.
This is a great place to be and to be a part of.
it is a Christ focused environment and a family friendly place.
Our children are trained to love, respect and care for one another.
We feel so loved and welcomed into this community of christians who shine the light of Jesus each day.
Thank you for acceptation us into your community OCS.

My family has been so blessed to have found this wonderful school.
We moved to Canada in 2007 and this was the place we enrolled our children.
The teachers are loving and caring, always willing to bring the best out of each child.
They are approachable and friendly.
It is a place where the name of Christ is lifted up and our children are nurtured in the way of the Lord.
The principal is a good leader and a God fearing man along with the front office staff.
The academic standard of this school is very high and having our first child in high school now shows the great impact and foundation OCS has given our son.
What a great school OCS is.

I have been dealing with Mr. Kennedy for four years now and he has been great to work with! I always find a school reflects it's leadership and it will be hard to find someone better then Mr. Kennedy for your kids!

I have had 3 kids go through this school and all of them were well prepared to go on and do well in grades 9-12 and beyond.
The staff are caring and professional.
The Christian life is taught and lived out by the staff.
There is an excellence shown in all aspects of the school.
in 14 years of us using the school I have greatly valued its care and nurture of our kids to aim high.

Very disappointed with the principal and the absence of the holy spirit's presence; not to mention the inequality of female versus male educators. Fake front for a "non - profit" God fearing school.

Excellent, dedicated staff educating students to be the best that they can be while loving God, themselves and others. My son says that Oakville Christian School teachers ROCK!

So far like the teachers of the class. But the school doesn't stay the class size as the original number and bumped it up. The number is fairly close to public education system. The school management purely concerns more revenue than the feeling of existing parents. One star is because I do like the teachers. Otherwise I would have rated zero star.

My experiences with the school and Mr. Kennedy are positive! Every time I enter the school I feel welcomed by staff and students. The students are given unique opportunities to serve one another and their community. It concerns me that parents are writing negative comments here, seems like a form of cyber-bullying to me. Administration always face difficult choices and those in leadership chose to shoulder negative criticism and rarely take credit for the positive.

My family was brought up in a strict Christian Reformed background. When we first arrived at Oakville Christian School it seemed like a Christ centred environment. However, it wasn't long that my wife and I saw through the artificial quest of financial gain and the Lord's name coming in true second. Transparency is so important but we can't get a clear answer from the principal Mr. Kennedy. His over confident persona is suspicious. The Lord's true heart and vibe is not present when you meet with Mr. Kennedy! So sorry to write this but my heart led me to inform future families of this deplorable school.

I am sorry but I have no hope for this school anymore. Promises! Promises! Promises! They just want my renewal! Not feeling the love of the Lord here. Soooo confused!

It is not easy to afford private education! Thus, my husband and I carefully scrutinized several private schools in the Oakville area. We heard great things about the teachers at Oakville Christian School so we decided to entertain an open house. I must say Mrs. Wood was amazing! She introduced us to some teachers and we received a wonderful view of the school. After careful prayer and deliberation, we decided to enroll our beloved child into the school. So saddening that after a year of ups and downs my husband and I have decided to withdraw our child as a direct result of the arrogance and detachment of the principal: Mr. Kennedy. I am sorry but it must be made known that this man is as cold as can be. He re-directed our concerns to the vice principal and then finally met up with us only to belittle me in front of my husband. What has become of Christian education?

Our family had a tough choice to make this year. Our kids loved their friends and were comfortable with their environment. Unfortunately, we are dumb founded how this school operates as a "Christian" school. My husband and I noticed a decline over the past few years surrounding the most important aspect of Christian education: OCS has lost focus on the simplicity of Christian service and community. When you walk through the school now it has lost the unspoken voice of Christ. It has lost itself in the greedy marketplace of worldly desires. We will pray for OCS as we move on to our newly found Christian paradise.

This is our 5th year at OCS as a family. While there are many great schools in Oakville, OCS is the perfect fit for us. My husband and I are very pleased with the education our three kids are receiving. Three for three our kids love going to school and we don't take it for granted that they are settled and eager to learn. We are very happy with the academic rigour at the school. The teachers are well equipped to attend to the specific needs of our children. Again and again teachers have modified the curriculum so that our kids could be additionally challenged in their area of strength, or supported in their area of weakness. The communication between home and school is fantastic. We feel like the staff are working together and with us for the shared goal of teaching our children in a God-honouring way. We're thankful for the friendships our kids have formed and how the teachers have supported their social development We have great confidence in the staff and are so thankful for their investment in our kids. We have no regrets for paying for this education and we will be back at OCS next year!

We have been with OCS for 6years and we started with the current Principal. We are blessed to be a part of this great school.
OCS gives our kids a wonderful education in a Christ focused environment. The Principal is a principled man with a good presence in the school. The front office are so welcoming and treat each child special. The teachers are so great at what they do and give their best in teaching and nurturing. The school is a good community for our children and each grade looks out for each other. This is a school that my daughter in JK has a reading buddy in grade 8 who takes time to read to her and is like a big sister to my little JK.
If you are looking for a well balanced environment for your children, visit the school and know that your children will be in a safe place. Thanks to The Principal and all the staff of OCS.

The negative comments about this school reflect people who think the world revolves around them.
To know the truth about this school, ask the past graduate and their parents. In every school there will be people who are happy and those who can never be satisfied. Do not judge a book by its cover. I have been in OCS for 11years, and I still have children in the school. The school is a good school, the teachers and staff are dedicated and the Principal is a good fit for the school.
We know there is no perfect world and anyone looking for perfection is in a different world.
Ocs is a good school because of its leadership: the Principal and his staff, the parents, PTA and the great teachers who nurture our children daily. The academic rating is high and the Christ focus is a blessing.

I have had several children pass through OCS and we could not be happier! The teachers are kind, wise and are always looking out for the students’ best interests. The leadership of the school is consistent and positive. Their focus is the kids- as it should be. The comments listed on this site seem to be about a personal problem and don’t reflect how the rest of the school community feels. Mr. Kennedy is honest and transparent. I always felt that he was fair and consistent, and tries to deal with problems head on. He encourages parents to face their problems/ concerns with the teacher/ parents who are involved first, and then he facilitates a solution if need be. Sounds scriptural to me! Thanks OCS!

In God's name, I would advise all interested to avoid Oakville Christian School. As a parent of more than one child who has experienced the leadership of 3 principals, I would caution anyone seeking a God fearing school. I would encourage you to pray hard before signing your check. Christ led by example and judged no-one. Let's just say there is obvious favouritism towards the well to do families. They will REALLY love you if you are an American family so they can bask in the double charge of tuition (30K). Just pray before you sign!

We have had a wonderful experience at Oakville Christian School. We are pleased with the academic standards. The staff is always invested in, "how can we do this even better?" while still living out Christ in daily example. I see a lot of complaints about particular staff at the school in other reviews that I think are centered around loyalty to one particular teacher and not the school community as a whole. I don't really have a problem with the principal delegating concerns to the proper channel. Unfortunately, he can't be personally involved in every single issue that arises and still manage the whole school operation. If you need to have the principal at your disposal, perhaps this is not the school for you. We have always found Mr. Kennedy approachable and willing to listen. Our children are in classes smaller than 17, so I can't speak to the large classes, not sure which one that is.

Oakville Christian School could be a great school but we are tired of the principal's attitude. Do not waste your hard earned money because one of his quotes is, "I am not here to please the parents!" Take your children to John Knox Christian school where the love of Christ is evident in their leadership.

Oakville Christian School is a great school community with high academic standards. The teachers and staff incorporate the importance of being Christlike into the school curriculum. This result is academically sound and well behaved children. Oakville Christian School students are usually very well prepared for High School and are reputed to perform excellently well in High School and beyond. The school excels in extracurricular activities like The Spelling Bee, Public Speaking contests and various sports like soccer, track and field, friisbee, badminton, volleyball, hockey, football and basketball. Oakville Chritian School students have also excelled in provincial and national Science contests. Our kids are very happy at Oakville Chritian School and we are very pleased with the staff and teachers.

I also have a few issues with the school. The school teachers seems good but they keeps o accepting new students through out the year and the class size keeps on growing. Why do I pay over 10k per year for the Class size of 25?!?! I am thinking of pulling all of my 3 KIDS out if this issue is not addressed. I also did not get the proper responses from the principle Mr. Kennedy when I raised some of concerns. He just told me to talk to one of his staff. No follow up, NO explaination, No communication from him! I pay to get these services but I am getting nothing but deligation and pointing fingers!

I have a few issues with OCS. One of the biggest issue is the class size and accepting new students until the class size is 24-26. TOTAL MONEY GRAB! Then why do I pay when there are public schools that are offering same ratio or even less than OCS. I pay for the service. The exceptional customer service from the teachers, admin staff, and Principal. Do I get the service that I was expecting from OCS? (The teachers are pretty good so far.) I do NOT get any responses from the principal when the issues are raised. He deligates. NOT handling the issues in a professional manner, I got sarcastic comments, feelings of finger pointing. IS MY MONEY REALLY WORTH IT? I may pull all 3 KIDS out when something is not done~!!!
