Norman Ingram Public School, North York Reviews (2)
I have seen this school slide downhill for many years during my children's attendance. I am happy they had the option to leave in grade 4. The staff have lost interest and passion in the children and the principal is WONDERFUL at creating rules and treating parental concerns with a grain of salt. This behaviour by TDSB staff is increasingly common place now. Unfortunately, this school is quickly becoming known as the School with all the rules...many of the students have lost motivation and interest. It is no wonder this school is shrinking greatly after grade 3, when parents have viable options to get them out of Norman Ingram. Too bad. So sad. But happy my kids are out of there!!
From what I have seen as a frequent volunteer at the school, there seems to be a lack of interest from the teachers in terms of really caring for the individual child. Children need guidance which may include frequent reminders and more communication with the childs' parents. It seems as though teachers these days aren't willing to put in the extra time or make more of an effort to help a child succeed. Life sure is tough having all those holidays and great benefits... I won't even get into the fact that they end their day at 3:30pm! Get with it guys! Help these kids achieve success!
