My daughter recently joined this school after summer vacation 2012 and I found this school totally weird. Today, I went to the school office to talk about my daughter’s optional subjects because she was given a subject that she didn’t put in her optional subjects list. The woman in the office told me that they couldn’t fix this because classes that my daughter picked were already full. If those classes were already full before summer vacation then why didn’t they put “class full” sign in front of those options.If any student who join school after summer vacation is not allowed to get optional subjects of his or her choice then why do they even provide a list of all optional subjects, they should just hand in list of available subjects. This hurts feeling of new students who join after summer vacation and mentally upsets them. The school administration knows that they will get students after summer vacation, they should keep some quota or percentage in all optional subjects for them. Another funny thing that happened to me when I was in the office, the woman present in the office told me that I could see school Principal Mr. Kel Connelly for this. I agreed. That woman went in the principal office and briefed the principal about the problem and asked me to wait outside the office. I waited at the door step of principal’s office for fifteen minutes, five minutes after school dismissal I left without meeting the principal. The principal Mr. Kel Connelly didn’t even bother to listen to my predicament. It is very sad thing when the principal of your child’s school decides to ignore you and your concerns. I felt very hurt and was quite upset that he did not have the time to even discuss my issue. Did he think that I would wait for him all day, I am a very busy women being a mother of 3 young children. I had come to this school with very high expectations, but now all those high expectations have been flushed down the toilet. Maybe the school’s reputation had been great once, but now with this new principal in charge that reputation is going down the drain.
